Is there enough time for Jake to pull a rainbow out of his ass? because if so then yes we have time to win.

well we definitely played like crap and put ourselves in this situation, but it still sucks to have a couple questionable calls have a HUGE impact on the game. but i guess every other game is like that these days

Did you see the same slo-mo replay from behind Dallas' line? If you did, you should have seen it clearly. The ball grazed the left side of Peppers' torso thereby causing it to miss wide-right. This is a fucking joke..all of it is. They wanted Dallas to win, and they did. Case closed.

^^while i wont say that the refs wanted them to win i will say they may have been afraid to overturn a call like that maybe

but it WAS VERY obvious from that exact angle. i agree 100%

I bet on monday, John Fox gonna receive an apology from the league saying how they missed the call. It's a fucking conspiracy, they want the cowboys in the playoffs.

running into the kicker penalties in both the NFL and college are about my least favorite penalties. esp in college when you can get PUSHED into the kicker and get it called on you.

or in the NFL like today. when MOMENTUM causes you to have a pussies amount of contact with the kicker AFTER the ball is off and "OMG STOP THE GAME SOMEONE GOT RUN INTO IN THIS HERE FOOTBALL GAME!"

As for the call....I couldn't tell if it hit his body. But I knew it did, cause if you looked at the ball it changed trajectory after it passed the plane of Peppers. You didn't even need to see if it hit his body.

Also, and this may just be me, but did it seem like Peppers landed at the kickers feet and the kicker tripped over Peppers? I don't see how that should be a penatly. Peppers was in the air and had no contorl over whether his body landed on the kicker.

well im not a gungho panthers fan. yes i wanted the panthers to win but im not a huge nfl fan. hence just playing a video game while the game was on tv. and i didnt post in this thread the whole game, half because i was only halfway watching it.

however the call was so obvious (to me at least )it compelled me to come see what others thought

Yeah, that's the point of the penalty.

As a side note, it didn't look like it touched him. The ball was knuckling well before it got near Peppers.

Yeah I know thats the point of the penalty, but what I'm saying is, to me it makes no sense that if its obvious you are going for the ball, you are up in the air and when you fall you land at his feet making him trip after the ball is in the air, that they should get a free 5 yards. I mean I understand if its obvious you were trying to actually hit the kicker and make him fuck the kick up, but when you hitting him is after the ball is way away from him and unintentational, why should they be penalized?

I just disagree with this rule.

Tampa Bay punting to Atlanta with 2 minutes left. Will be interesting if they tie this.

Because the kicker is in a vulnerable position.

the point of the rule is to keep the kicker from being hurt. you are supposed to angle/time your jump so that you dont hit him at all. Its not "go for the ball and then worry about not trying to hit the kicker" its "attempt the jump that will not hit the kicker at all but give you some shot at blocking the kick"

Were these refs in Tuscaloosa Thursday night (yes I know, for the bball game, but they're doing worse than those guys)? I guess Tampa will win the division, b/c they sure as hell aren't going to lose to New Orleans.

Uh... if the Panthers lose next week (with the Bucs winning) and the two following teams win, you won't make the playoffs:

Dallas, Washington

who are playing

St. Louis, Philadelphia respectively.

You can't afford to lose next weekend.

Minnesota factors in as well if they win this week and next week.
