I hope to God you in no way represent or have any clue as to what Andrew Brackman is really thinking. Your comment of “bring on baseball season” and “its just not gonna happen, plain and simple” about winning in the tournament is not good. You even speculated more than you should have with your comment, “Maybe his heart’s not in basketball”.

The fact is that Brackman hasn’t been doing anything lately and he was having such a good year in my opinion. In fact, Dick Vitale mentioned him as one of the best players in the nation at coming off the bench. Don’t get me wrong I love NC State baseball, but there is no doubt that Brackman should be sticking to basketball right now and then playing baseball after the tournament. I know you see those dollar signs, but the MLB is still far away.

Your bf played with so much intensity and enthusiasm earlier in the year. It really makes me wonder what is going on with him right now. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised based on your comments if he isn’t even a Herb supporter. It is an absolute privilege and honor to wear that wolfpack jersey on that court and it can not be described as a “hobby”. I would do anything to be blessed with the talent of your bf and have the chance to represent this great university on national television.

I guess its easy to dismiss the opinions of so many who really have nothing to do with the outcome of the games, but yours actually means something. Your bf is something special to this team and can provide an emotional lift that can take us far. You characterize the possibility of getting passed the second round as a “miracle” and that is sad when it is coming from one of our best player’s gf, and yes he is one of the best.

Without Andrew brackman’s huge three point shot against UCONN last year, hodge doesn’t even have the chance to win that game. I don’t expect you, your bf, or anyone else out there to respect or listen to anything I have to say. But, your bf has a chance to participate in something only some of us can only dream of and help lead this team.

WHY THE HELL CAN’T WE BEAT TEXAS, WV or IOWA, and DUKE? We NEED you Andrew Brackman, the emotion, the passion, and most of all 100% devotion. Baseball may bring the riches, but nothing will ever compare to competing in this tournament for your school and the history of this program.

I love how you think I’m an idiot when I was giving brackman a huge compliment and still believe in this team despite this horrible play. I’m sorry my comments are so gay and not up to par with everyone else’s cynical degrading trash talk against the Wolfpack. But, unlike most of you on here I actually respect other people’s opinions.

Just to make sure we're clear.


It is perfectly alright to degrade Herb Sendek at any and all costs. This guy makes a $1 million/year and he causes me and other basketball fans 40 minutes of anguish everytime we step on the court.

When you go to lengths to question an athlete's desire to his freaking girlfriend thats a bit much. Yes, its obvious his play has faded since the start of the season, but like mentioned above he doesn't decide how many minutes/game he gets to play.

His rebounding numbers are fairly anemic the 2nd half of the season, and that would be my main concern with his play. I have an acquaintenance who is close to Herb and is there for every game (locker room, etc) and he assures me that Herb doesnt stress individual rebounding numbers that its solely about boxing out and team rebounds.

I'm not trying to be jtbucky and pretend i know all the behind the scenes info about who jerked who off last week, im just relaying what ive been told. And it makes sense to me seeing as how the past few years we've NEVER had good individual rebounders and our guards (hodge, bethel, etc) have always ranked high on our list while guys like Powell, Simmons posted relatively low totals.

Anyway, i think at some point you have to recognize the fact that Brackman was not even a top 50 recruit coming out of HS in basketball. Personally, I didnt think he'd be amount to anything more than a role player.

If anything, it's to his credit that he may have "overachieved" to become an impact player both offensively & defensively the first 1.5 seasons here.

Anyway, yeah he's played poorly the last few games. So has everyone. Including 5th year seniors Tony Bethel & Ilian Evtimov. Even Bennerman hasn't been that productive.

Common denominator to me is the coach...

I agree with you that he has overachieved. In fact, I agree with almost everything in that post, however it just seems like his emotional fire has left recently. I did not necessarily think Brackman has questionable desire, I just thought his gf’s comments seemed to suggest something that I found troubling.

I apologize if I offended his gf, and I can see where my post could be interpreted as such, but I promise I am in no way against Andrew. It is just my opinion that he can make a big difference to the success of this team.

Not sure if he was top 50, but he was definetely top 100.




But you're right about the rebounding...especially with the fact that our guards get a hunk of them. There's been quite a few games this season where Bethel has led the team in rebounding.

I just don't understand how some people can ignore this and think that our program is on track for greatness. We've got to be able to rebound.

I been a Herb supporter since I became a fan in 2000 but.....after six year of running the god damn princeton offense I'm starting to have doubts BUT!

I haven't read the retardation that is this thread (only the first post, and that was like 100% of my daily needs of retardation) but the bottom line is, if you are satisfied with a sweet 16 appearance, then you aren't as big a fan as you should be.

You should want more. You should expect more. And if 2 "upset" wins at the end of your season turns around your overall feelings of how the season turned out, then you aren't as big of a fan I am.
