My work pays for roadrunner, so what is the cheapest I can get digital cable for on top of that, and do they separate them out on the bill?

i figure 44 bucks for roadrunner, and then maybe 40 per month for digipic 1500 comes out to about the 85 that was quoted above. Is that accurate?

well it's every channel (all premium packages, etc), dvr, roadrunner, digital phone service, etc.

may not be quite $290 but not far from it. also all ppv/on-demand purchases get 50% discounts.

I've had rr and digital cable for about a year now. Any chance to get some of what I am currently paying knocked off?

Time warner rates are on the exponential scale.

After 6 months, the retroactively increase your bill based on x^2 plot vs time.

Not true....my boyfriend and his roommate had DVR and HBO and all that stuff, and after the 6 month promotion period the prices were going to soar up. They called and said they were going to cancel, TWC didn't care. Then they called and said that they were going to open a new account under the roommate's name, TWC said there'd be no promotional options.

Guess who has no cable at all now??

^^yea, had that happen to me too. the customer service lady explained that generally they dont let you sign up for one promotion after another. once a promotion ends you have to take the higher price or actually cancel for a couple months and re-sign up.

Since my thread got locked:http://brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=440643

I'll ask here on the 4th page of this thread.

Now that this number is dead where can we get the good TWC deals?

If you don't mind switching to DSL

1) Call Phone Company and haggle for best promotional deal
2) Call Cable Company, tell them you are canceling, when they ask why say you are switching to DSL, if they ask why say because its cheaper. If they give you a promo, take it, if not you've already haggled with phone company

If you signed up for digital cable, you're supposed to get standard on the other tvs without digital boxes, right?

^^^All the outlets in my house get standard cable even though I only have digital in one room. Should be the same for most places as the line from the road to the house should get tied into all the lines in the house. Usually.

We seem to only get the first 13 or so channels on our other tv even though we pay for digital for the main tv. I guess I'll be calling them about that.

So is the best solution to call and tell them you're switching to Direct TV? I might do that, they're taking too much of my money these days...

your promotion period ran out.

cancel the account. wait a day or two or something, then have your roommate/significant other sign up in their name under the promo pricing. repeat...

Ours is $82.something, for the same combo as the dude in the very first post, digital cable, one dvr box, and full RR. Service has been good so far (3 months). Just gotta remember after the 6 months to cancel and resubscribe on the package deal.
