^^ The stats start over for clothes and items like that, but club upgrades carry over (I think). You can use any of the characters you've purchased, so you can go back to Scout at any time.

omfg... on hole 15 of Blue Lagoon (Par 5), I hit it with a tailwind of 9 within 1.5yds of the hole via Tomahawk

^How long is your drive? I can get it over there pretty easy with a headwind, 252 yd. drive (w/ powershot toma).

My drive is 246, but that is seriously affecting my control. I can get a drive across the pond more often than not on 15 at Blue Lagoon as long as I hit a tomahawk. I've come very, very close to acing that hole on several occasions.

240 yd. (20 power) is usually plenty to be able to reach most spots on the courses. And it won't affect your control.

I have 20 power (to avoid penalty) and 22 control... with 6 slots open to improve control.. i paid 10 bucks and got the next best clubs

I use Scout and have a 240 yd drive

stats right now are: 20/22/12/6/7

What do you do to practice on different courses than Blue Lagoon? I'm getting bored hitting that course when I have a couple minutes to spare but not enough to play a vs. match.

you can do family mode and have up to 4 identical players (I recommend this for learning Tomahawk/Cobra because you can use all the items like power potions you want and they return after the round)
in family, you choose how many holes and either 1-3, 10-12 or any random 3 holes or even all 18 holes.

or you could just go into the tournament part and play there... it plays as fast as you do

Wow got my first HIO in a game today! The Par 3 6 Hole in Blue Lagoon. I was playing 6 holes against one other guy that was pretty damn good and I was losing by one stroke. He teed off with a powerspin Tomahawk (I'm Rookie E, he was Rookie C) and he came damn close. He said "Hole In One" and I just did a regular shot and the bitch rolled right in, and I won as he just parred it in.

^I toma BS'ed both of em in, but I didn't use a formula. I don't use formulas (trig) or any calculators and it's gay if you do. It's cheating and most people in the community will report you if they find out and it results in a ban. I only use simple arithmetic in my head, adding/subtracting flag height/wind to distance and all that. That's why the asians are so good in their version of pangya...they all use trig n shit.

I read the tutorial at albatross18.com where it mentions to add/subtract hole height from distance, but I'm having trouble figuring how to adjust for wind.

any suggestions?

just learn the distance it blows, i keep a ruler or something close by and figure it out myself, its handy for those times

I'm still having trouble adjusting to straight sidewinds. That mostly just comes out of playing for a long time. For head/tailwinds I just add/subtract the wind value from the distance. Say there is a 6m tailwind at a 45 degree angle, I would only subtract 3 yds from distance.
