I am pissed! I am in Melbourne Fl.
Ernesto caused my facility to close and since i have been sitting at home all day, it has only rained once or twice for about 15 mins each time. So now i get to go into work on Friday, my day off, which would have given me a 4-day weekend.

oh well, atleast the power isn't going to go out.

^there is no clear eye. the center is covered. that gap you see to the north of the center is a sign of disorganization. some dry air got pulled in. an eye is definatly trying to form but it wont have time. if it had another day it could probobly get up to cat 2.

Looks like their initial storm track that has held for the last 24 hours of it going over Raleigh are sunk.

Now appears the pitiful excuse for an eye will be coming right where I'm at now, Eastern NC around eastern Halifax County. Fun.

I live in Bladen County and just got back from a house fire. We were called out about 9 o'clock or so and by the time I was driving home a few minutes ago, it was getting pretty rough.

I will be in the eye in the next 15 minutes here in the DUBtown. It is pretty windy and actually a little scary even though I have been through category 3's and 4's without power, this still is lurkin nasty.

So, is it just gonna graze and pass on by Raleigh? That's my guess.

If by graze you mean cover in water, then yes.

We're still going to get plenty wet and winded.

At least that's the thought.

Dr Gray, who "predicts" the number of storms well in advance(he screwed up last year and so far this year) has reduced(again) the total number, now he says it will be below average(shocking). Just think, he gets paid to predict this stuff...and he updates every month or so during cane season. I figure next year he will predicted an average year so he isnt so far off like he was last year and this year...of course he increased his predictions last year when the months went by and it was so active...i think it is a joke.
