First of all, neither Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds will give you and accurate assesment of how much this vehicle is worth. The true assesment needs to be obtained from the N.A.D.A. yellow book for retail value, the black book for trade value, and take the average of the two. I say this because that is exactly what the bank is going to do, and then probably only allow you 95% of that #. That is assuming that nobody has 14K just laying around. BTW, that $14,700 he is asking for is pretty damn close to retail which you should never pay from a private seller. If the car is in pristine condition I would say that he could sell it for no more than 12K.

I've turned down my fourth $12k offer today, while the BMW mechanics tell me I can get more than 14.7k for the car. I'm officially advertising it at $13.9k asking...
