I care about the Robinson race b/c Robinson is an embarassment in the way he represents this state in the national media. If you're fine with an embarassment like, him, that's your perrogative. I fail to see how Bob is an embarassment to anyone, and you seem to be the only person I've ever heard say that, and I've lived in his district for 10 years.

you can be tolerant of someone and still be critical of them. you have a right to say what ever the hell you want, and i have the right to criticize it with whatever language i feel fit to use, and vice versa.

and if you think i'm some far left wacko, then good job actually reading what i post on here. i'm as socially liberal as they come for the most part, but i'm closer to the libertarian party than brad miller. i believe in economic responsibility and lower taxes. thankfully, bob ethridge wants to lower the gas tax, too.

Liberals always claim to be so "open-minded", yet they are the first to rip apart someone with strong convictions opposite theirs, such as the recent events at "tolerant" Columbia University, where students violently interrupted a speech by the Minutemen and prevented them from exercising their right to free speech. i had a thread on that, but The Duke locked it because Josh#### ruined it. What if the laws are screwed up? These are immigrants who want to come to America to work for a better life for themselves and their families. The laws force them underground and enable employers to exploit them. Then we all complain about the financial burden of educating and providing healthcare for them. The immigration laws are the root of the problem, not the immigrants.

The laws should be setup to encourage them to get on the books, assimulate into American society, and to prevent employers from exploiting them. The laws should also be setup to encourage them to bring their families with them and rather than leaving them behind and sending them their money.

In the end, this is about ignorance, protectionism, and racism, which in reality are probably the strongest values of conservatives.
