theres no contest. the z06 is a perfectly balanced, all the power you'll ever need, RWD, beast. it has great brakes, cooling, and is literally track ready out of the box. for a track enthusiast, z06 is the ticket. itll be much more involving and rewarding than an EVO.

the Evo is already a track car out of the box. at least the MR is. the only thing i needed to do was flush the brake lines and replace it with Super Blue. Z06 is more powerful but its also lame. I cannot see ahmet driving a Z06 and nor do I want to...ever

I am sure there is a bad joke about Golovko being in denile here somewhere.

I think what does it for me about the Z06 is the straight from Cavalier(hmmm Cobalt) interior. The build quality and overall refinement is not up to Ahmet's Porsche and BMW standards. Although the tire burning Vette tends towards Ahmet's more primal driving style.

I'm not saying that an EVO isnt fast and well prepared for the track, but for someone like Ahmet who is a "driver" he's going to look for a car that is involving and rewarding to drive. AWD is point and shoot. threading a 405hp RWD car around a road course at the edge is an art thats the fun part.

There seems to be two extremes with the Vette; 1) the track guys that really use the what the Vette can do, 2) the old man that drives 10 mph below the speed limit in the left lane on I40

I guess the other driver would be the son of the old man that uses the car on Friday and Saturday nights to do doughnuts in the Best Buy parking lot.
