pti just covered this and it is a very interesting trade i think they should do it and agree w/ the pti crew

That would be the biggest waste of talent and scoring since about ever 12/14/2006 7:51:58 PM |

oh so youd rather see him score alot and fuck the rest of his team, never again come close to winning a ring....thats a fucking waste, if hed commit hed be nasty, and team be nasty, hes just a And 1 player on roids (not literally) in the NBA....and thats it 12/14/2006 11:15:32 PM |

yeah i'm feelin buffalosweat with his posts about football but that AI statement is way off...just cause he broke Jordan's ankles his rookie season doesn't limit him to just an "And 1 player"
Are Kobe and D-Wade (who have rings) just "And 1 players"? Sure they both had Shaq, but I mean damn, they are good ball handlers, thats important for guards, wow 12/14/2006 11:44:19 PM |

I am a big Iverson Fan. He is still one of the elite players in the league and one of the 20 best guards of all time, easily. But let's not accuse him of playing good DEFENSE.
He has led the league in steals because he plays passing lanes and gambles. He's not a horrible defender, but he is sometimes a liability against bigger NBA guards. Actually, he's pretty bad.
Bill Simmons is saying what I've been thinking this whole time

he would be a great fit for the Heat and he wouldnt have to be "the man" its already DWades team, even Shaq knows this and bought into it
Shaq is a role player b/c Dwade is the man....hell Pat Riley wants him with the heat we all know that Slick gets what he wants
AI was/is one of my all time fav players. I followed him all through college and would love to see him get a ring. he would kick start a stale Heat team. like dnl said, they aint getting it done this year 12/15/2006 9:22:34 AM |

They have a bunch of washed up guys and two decent players in Dorell Wright and Udonis Haslem.

Iverson is an awesome player. He was the best player on the 2004 Olympic team for gods sake.
I guarantee he's gonna go off wherever he lands.
and i found this funny
Quote : | " Name: Jeff Allen Iverson sold his soul to the devil for his thuggish good looks and unparalleled scoring ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, A.I. crossed the devil up, broke his ankles and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month." |
and this
Quote : | " the ESPN guys were talking about how A.I. was going to have to adjust to being a third option. Excuse me? EXCUSE me? Thirty-plus points, seven-plus assists, and we're worried about whether or not he's going to accept a role as a third option? What team's going to trade for him, the NBA Live All-1990s team?" |

this is what i'm talking about
when shaq came to miami, he had already started on a gradual downturn, just because his body couldn't keep up with anything close to an 82 game schedule anymore
comparing iverson coming to the heat to shaq's arrival there is apples and oranges, it's just a shame AI hasn't gotten the quality company he deserves yet 12/15/2006 4:14:45 PM |

^^^^ so funny and so true. I honestly don't understand why everyone is talking about him accepting his role as a "role player" (I hate that over used term).......he is sick. He would only be expected to take a back seat to about 5 players in the league (kobe, wade, lebron, arenas, duncan) and I'm not sure about Arenas and Duncan. Iverson is still sick. He hasn't started this decline everyone is talking about. 12/16/2006 3:16:52 AM |

What a great fucking trade for the Nuggets.
Their first round pick isnt gonna be worth dick anyway.... who does the other first round pick belong to?
Andre Miller WOWOWOOWOWOWOW not much to write home about. He rebounds well and can pass a little but he can't shoot or score. He's not washed up or anything but he's not a special player by any means.
Joe Smith is garbage and is only good for his expiring contract.
The Nuggets are fucking loaded now. This should open things up a lot for Carmelo and JR Smith. Camby doesnt require a lot of touches. If they can get ANYTHING out of Nene they'll be a serious contender. Iverson/Melo have plenty of time to figure out how to play together after the suspension is up.
People dont realize it but Carmelo doesnt have to have the offense run through him to be a scorer. He proved himself a lot on the World team this summer. After the Nuggets complete meltdown in the playoffs last year and Iversons recent team struggles i think they'll both be willing to do what it takes to win games in the postseason. 12/19/2006 10:35:26 PM |
