The point is not that there are less deaths overall per year now. The point is that amount of extra casualities due to the Iraq War is approximately the same as the normal amount in peace time. This means we are doing a kick-ass job of keeping our forces alive in a rather large and prolonged engagement. This is the point. I didn't expect you to understand. I expect you'll still not understand.
