^i think glennon is our man.....not charest.
Supposedly Michigan(who was seen as some of our main competition for glennon) offered another QB this week....COULD mean that they feel they've fallen behind for his services(to us presumably)sp 6/23/2007 2:06:51 PM |

Great players want to play with other great players. They know that if they have a talented guy playing with them, then it will only make them look that much better, and they will have a great chance at accomplishing a championship. 6/23/2007 2:11:03 PM |

Good to hear about Glennon. I wouldn't mind him or Charest. Having a 4-Star QB can help in recruiting OL and WR's so I'll be happy with either one. 6/23/2007 2:15:43 PM |
wolfpack2105 All American 12428 Posts user info edit post |
^no doubt.
The feeling is that if Charest were to get an offer, that he would jump on it. He wants to stay close to home, and the only school near here that has offered, or would offer, would be us.
The problem with that is, that Glennon was said to have been the strongest QB in attendance at camp and even other players there have said, "wow, that kid was amazing" including WR TJ Graham, who would probably commit here the day after Glennon if he were to commit here.
My guess is that we get Glennon. For some reason, he is really intrigued by us, and he came down here to get an offer, even though he has offers from pretty much every powerhouse on the east coast. 6/23/2007 2:26:39 PM |

^^ Amato and Herb had recruits that were the same quality as Red Tom and Syd. The difference is Amato didn't teach what a false start is and Herb wanted 9 passes before each shot. 6/26/2007 11:47:16 AM |

^^Brandon Barnes, Terrell Manning, Kevin Reddick, RJ Mattes, and some other guys, but those are the big names. I think Eddie Whitley and Duane Maddox may make it up as well, but just to watch(and help with some commitments maybe?) Word is TJ Graham may be close as well......and information about QB Offers should be coming out within today or the next few 6/26/2007 12:01:12 PM |

The sooner Manning commits, the better it will get for in state recruiting, and mroe importantly, another blow to UNC's pipeline to Scotland County. WOnder what our chances of landing Barnes are, he's a five star and obviously the best player in the state. 6/26/2007 12:50:51 PM |

anybody wanna guess as to who? Miller safrit said that the 2nd one is a "Big one"
So im either guessing big one by stars(Barnes or Manning) or big one as in size (Becton, Mattes)
The other.........i have no clue 6/26/2007 3:12:22 PM |

I'm thinking the completion of the new M&M boys since his family is in town for a meager little football camp
ed-^Serioulsy, just get manning and we'd have the top two in state by the end of June, solid work by the staff

yeah i think the other will be a lesser known player like graham or becton
still though things are looking good with manning and also with glennon/charest
it'd be good if we could lock up the state early and get a bunch of big time commitments, then go on to more national players later. But winning on the field this year is going to play a vital role as to how well we recruit out of state. 6/26/2007 3:27:34 PM |

i may be more excited about this pickup than if it had been Manning.......something about a guy that had over 30 offers from around the nation, including USC, Auburn, Florida etc, and he chooses your school.......hell yea 6/26/2007 3:37:16 PM |

manning is a must get though..........he is the #1 player in the state and that has lots of influence over others to come join us. We have struck out on LB's the last few years so manning would be a huge get. Our highest rated LB we have ever gotten plays for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and beats his family so we def. need to get a bigtime LB to end the streak.
and yall can say what yall want a/b pack pride and the wolfpacker but reading there post camp information tonight is going to be the jank. 6/26/2007 3:42:30 PM |

^i agree that manning is a must get.......and reading Eddie Whitley's article on rivals that "Duane Maddox and Terrell Manning are tryin to get me to come with them" makes me think that hes ours to lose.....im just ecstatic about Barnes because his commitment to us just kinda came outta nowhere. And on Rivals, Barnes is the lone 5* and #1 man in the state. Nonetheless, a HUGE pickup.
TJ Graham is huge as well....hes got some amazing speed.....reportedly ran around a 4.3 at camp last week(although u know how camp numbers are....) 6/26/2007 3:51:38 PM |

TOB is marking his territory in this state. TOB's like "Bitch Davis, who the fuck do you think you are, I run this shit, and will be for the next 10+ years! You are now relegated to recruiting in Chapel Hill/Orange County, and the slums of Gastonia. If I see you on my turf, I am gonna put a cap in yo ass." 6/26/2007 5:55:14 PM |

answering my own question:
Quote : | "Most likely I'll be a running back at NC State, that's what I'd prefer. I don't mind playing defense but I like offense better. It's one of the big reasons I picked State, they wanted me as a running back from the start and they have a great tradition at the position" |
also, he mentioned that he's working on Manning and other recruits to join him 6/26/2007 6:42:45 PM |
