You present your douchebaggery in a more well written way than TheOffice, but that doesn't make you less of one.]5/25/2007 1:14:11 PM |

isn't this what they are supposed to do? nothing fantastic about this. its either normal (nothing fantastic hahaha) or shitty service. fantastic service would be a lap dance and a strip tease for me.

I would. It's the principle of the issue. Something that everyone seems to forget these days.5/25/2007 2:13:13 PM |

I'm not reading the thread
but, when this happened to me it was at O Charly's on like a $18 meal, left $7 tip cause I always tip large and the fucker changed it to $30.. called the credit card company and they gave me the money back on the spot, no contest.. If it happens enough at one place or from one particular waiter/waitress they'll look into it but typo's happen, sometimes it's an honest mistake (but not often) 5/25/2007 2:32:22 PM |

when you go out to eat and pay by CC, draw a line through the tip area, write
"CASH"
beside the tip line, and re-write the original total on the total line.
save your receipts. if you always do this youll never have confusion.
its a hassle sometimes to always have cash on you, but at least you dont have to cash out for the whole meal." |
I try to tip in cash anyway, so the server doesn't have to report it.
On the other hand, I wouldn't tip 20% unless I got some stuff hooked up for free, or sexual favors, or a lifesaving Heimlich maneuver, or something. I go 15% (and round up so I'm not leaving them a stack of change) unless they were really good, then I'll go a little more. In all reality, I've tipped 20% for a really shit hot server, but it's very, very unusual. I'll go less than 15%, too, if they really suck, and I've even completely stiffed a few people who were all kinds of fucked up.

I can't believe you think bartenders/etc have the RIGHT to add on tip to your tab without your permission...

shit, I used to work at a bar, where we would tack on an extra couple drinks to the drunk patrons tabs, who would never know about it, and then the employees drank for free at the end of the night. 6/7/2007 9:59:01 PM |

Call your credit card company and tell them you are concerned about this item on your statement and get them to look into it. 6/8/2007 9:04:48 AM |
