i used to <3 the first 6 or so songs off pablo honey before i was into the rest of radiohead's stuff. I still like some of it like creep and anyone can play guitar. but i like the other stuff way more that Pablo honey as a whole.

Pablo Honey isn't so mindbogglingly terrible so much as it is not as good as anything else Radiohead has done.

i have about as widely varying musical tastes as anyone

but i just cannot get into radiohead.

Creep is a good song...that's about the best I can say for them.





and post-Blood Sugar Sex Magik stuff from the Red Hot Chili Peppers is ok (and better than most of what you'll hear on the radio), but definitely unspectacular...but the older stuff (particularly Mother's Milk and BSSM, in my opinion) is AWESOME.

but when people come up to me and say shit about the music I like and how its crap because most people recognize the artist and give me that snobbish look, it make me want to punch them in the face..

dude, it's not like i'm some teenybopper at a Britney Spears show saying Radiohead sucks, or at least is highly overrated. I like all kinds of music, all across the rock spectrum and well beyond it--everything from Wagner to Waylon Jennings, Ben Folds to Steve Vai. I've played 4 different instruments with at least reasonable proficiency (and was actually good at 3 of them...still play 2 of them). I've played in bands, covering different styles of music. I've done at least a little bit of home recording. I prob have >$1000 worth of CDs, God knows how many GBs of mp3s, a couple of moving boxes full of vinyl, 3 guitars, 2 pedals, an effects rack, and a tenor saxophone (sold my other amp, a couple of other guitars, a clarinet, and a 4-track).

and I don't care for Radiohead.


Oh, and I really like Red Hot Chili Peppers--particularly Blood Sugar Sex Magik and earlier.

don't get me wrong i <3 RHCP.

I went from greenville(NC) to Charlotte to wait hours on end to see them play 4 songs at a nascar event. and i fucking despise nascar

I dont know if i like them or Radiohead better.

but using overrated votes to say ANYTHING about quality, however small, is just retarded and irritating.
