Monica Laliberte interviewed the owner on the 5:30 news. The dude came across as a bit psycho with his eyes bulging out. Sealed the deal when he said

a few years ago, i had a friend who was delivering wings...he had a delivery to a friend's house...upon delivering the wings, he stayed and smoked up...he never returned to work and was subsequently fired lolllllz

"It is extremely unfortunate that we were closed down," Hippler said. "It is very bad for business and I beg N.C. State students not forget about Gumby's Pizza." Christopher Davis, a freshman in chemistry, said he can't wait until Gumby's is back in business. "Before they closed down I ate pizza rolls three nights a week," Davis said. Kayleigh Bouchillon, a freshman in First Year College, said she looks forward to ordering a large order of Pokey Stix, when Gumby's reopens. The franchise location on Hillsborough Street brings in the most revenue of all 25 restaurants , according to Hippler. The first store dated back to 1985, which was opened to serve the students at the University of Florida in Gainesville."

instead of blaming the inspectors, why not blame the employees and managers for not keeping the restaurant up to code

^^ i managed a pizza place before (little caesars), and actually champions pizza for a little while... and while i honestly agree that most kitchens wouldnt score an A or B, i dont see how a pizza place can score that low, theres not that much stuff in there to fuck up. a little row of toppings, an oven, and a cutting area. and a sink.

anyways, i just read about this again somewhere. is gumbys open?
