It was mentioned earlier that BC fans thought TOB was talking shit when he said NCSU had a higher ceiling. (better athletes, fanbase, resources, etc.)

If Chuck were to tell me that FSU had a higher ceiling I wouldn't hold it against him because he would be right. Better athletes, resources, stadium.

I'd still like to think we have the best fanbase and facilities. (as in the Murphy Center)

i think when i told them the only sports people in Chestnut Hill care about are the Red Sox and Patriots they suspended me cause they know i'm right

also if you gave them an unbiased objective fact, like telling them NCSU beat BC in football last year...they'd respond with "and who was coaching BC" or whatever and i'm like "scoreboard" and they're like "and now you have a loser coach" and i'm like "NCSU defeated BC in football last year" and they're like " " suspend

i agree w/ ^^, but miami is leaps and bounds ahead of bc as a football program, doug flutie aside.

if miami isn't winning bigtime, change is expected. TOB had that program as good as it's been in a long time.

you know what would be funny

if NCSU/BC last year late in the 4th was teh same setup for this year's FSU/NCSU game...ie we have the ball late...trying to run out the clock...but Chuck doesnt have Tank Tyler to stop them on 4th and short...he has another DT...a Seminole...who happens to jump offsides for the encroachment penalty...so we kneel the ball 4 times and FSU doesnt even have the chance to throw the hail mary...all cause of Chuck's (lack of) discipline)

SPEAKING OF a situation like that.

i still haven't figured out what happened at the end of the fsu game. we didn't have enough time to run out the clock, then we got an offensive penalty... and the lock ran down, and then we did have enough time to kneel the game out.

granted i am no ncaa rules official, but i don't think that's what was supposed to have happened.

A lot of quality teams have lost to Southern Miss in the last 20 years. I wouldn't include them.

I would say beating Wake and UNC and ECU on a regular basis instead.

From this point out they are going to have some quality players that have been deep in the system before they play a game

now game play and practice of course is apples/oranges but his system works. it took several years for the redshirt game to catch up but it did and he won the ACC last year

Granted, I unestimated So. Miss this past year, but you got the idea. I was just trying to name off some examples of teams that we should have beaten as of recently. And I would agree with your addition. I just want our team to beat the teams that we are suppose to, pull an upset or two, beat our rivals, and make bowl games...all of which while working toward winning a conference title.

They are really freaking out now. Trying to rationalize how they will go into Death Valley and beat Clemson and clinch a trip to JAX. They are still bringing up the UCF and Louisville games as a measuring stick for the type of coach TOB and Bible are. Oh and there is a thread about how the "Great" Spaziani (the same Spaziani that they were attributing TOB's succes to at the beginning of the season) will be fired at the end of the season.
