^haha that was the first game I recorded today after work. I didn't edit anything out except the spectating so after each death I cut to the next round since its no respawns etc.

thats what i'm saying. They had 2 generals (5 star and 2 star) and they sucked lol. The only guy that went there to the bomb site was the guy who tripped on my claymore and killed me and him lol which won us the round.

You have to shoot off his arm.. it is part of the story that already happened. You cannot kill him.

Thanks for the video. It's very helpful to see some of the things in it which I haven't gotten yet. The ACOG scope looks very useful, and I think I'm only 30 kills away from it for the M4. Sleight of Hand looks highly useful - much more so than I'd originally thought. I just can't wait to get some Claymores. There are all kinds of nasty places to put them.

w/ the claymores, how are they set off...a proximity mine of some type? That would def help guarding a doorway to a sniping window or something of that nature...and given it kills the individual, do you get credit for that kill or is it kinda like being killed by the heli or an airstrike?

you get credit for the kill. Just like with airstrikes and chopper kills. Whoever calls in the airstrike/chopper gets each kill added to their score.


The claymores are proximity...the laser is really just decoration so as long as you walk near it, you will die. However you can shoot them first or blow them up with a nade. Either way it will alert the sniper to your presence.

wow "One Shot One Kill" is pretty fucking hard on Veteran...I can get to the ferris wheel at the end, and I plant my claymores and shit and hide in one of the ticket booths but I can't quite get to the Captain without getting shot up

^I completed that level on the 2nd hardest difficulty yesterday. Took me a dozen tries to finally get it though. Hard as hell. The best strat. is to hide behind the bumber cars area because they can't flank you from the right...and once the chopper is inbound you hall ass to the captain and pick him up.

i tried the bumper car area but they'd eventually get to me from the left side...that or they'd throw grenades and i couldnt throw them all back

after the first wave of enemies comes by and i get a checkpoint, i'll run to the ticket booth farthest from the bumper cars (there are 3 ticket booths...the one i'm talking about is right near the concrete barriers near the captain)...if you lie down in there they throw a shitload of grenades at you, but probably 90-95% of them don't hurt you at all...just keep an eye out for the "Press RB" thing to toss out the ones that do come in...once the chopper gets down, throw some frags and flashbangs and run for the captain...at least thats how it should work in theory

i remember when i beat it on Regular once I picked up the captain i got shot a whole bunch but didnt die...maybe that'll work on Veteran too?

what i mean by the bumper car area is facing the left side. So you are on the back edge of the bumber cars with your gun pointed towards where Cpt MacMillion. This way you can pick them off one by one from the far left and right side as they enter the ticket booth area. pick up an AK if you can. Thats how I did it.

^ that shit was hard (I was flat on the ground hidden behind a tree and survived).. but not as hard as some of the other challenges further into the game. I am now stuck in the nuclear warhead diffusing round (act 3).. pretty crazy on the hardened difficulty.

I might have to start the mission over to make more efficient use of my C4

i was kind of following this map http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/3171/mapkg3.jpg but i had already gotten through the first checkpoint...this map seems like it would work...if you can survive in this ticket booth, you can toss a couple flash bangs and blow all the C4 and then book it to the captain who, from this ticket booth, isnt far



also apparently you can set the Captain down somewhere other than the flashing yellow circle and have some extra time to plant C4 and Claymores before he gives you the 30 second warning...and then when you set him down he'll basically refill your grenades and explosives

the first time i killed him my spotter was like "i think you took his arm off"

then later they show a picture of him with his left arm missing

even if your shot with the barrett blows his chest out

btw the Ghillies in the Mist mission and the One Shot One Kill mission are supposed to take place 15 years prior to the main storyline

also does Sergeant Jackson die in the nuclear fallout or does he survive? it says KIA but i thought i remember playing a later mission with him?

Its a game mode. Search and Destroy. Was playing it on Hardcore. Its very similar to Counter Strike. One team defends two bomb sites the other team plants the bomb.

I have my Xbox360 running to my monitor and also to my iMac using the extra RCA cables. Connected to a eyetv usb dongle. Then use the eyetv software to record my gameplay while playing in real time on the 2nd screen. Because when you record it will be 2 or so seconds behind so you can't actually play off of that. Then export and edit if needed in iMovie and upload to geevee.com. If you want to upload halo 3 movies you can actually have geevee.com record and upload it for you so long as the video is shared on your bungie account.

I don't think there's a set number of hit points; if they are, its hidden.

The damage varies by gun and you're usually good as dead if someone draws a bead on you, so there's no amount of damage one can take.

Obviously with Juggernaut its increased and in Hardcore its decreased, but after a while you just get a feel for it.

^ i would think that that is true. in cod3 they had an achievement (purple heart) that you get for surviving a good hurting.

I am stuck since yesterday in this checkpoint that I can't seem to clear.. I need help How did you guys clear the round (act 3) where there is a narrow way and you need to go within 8 mins or so to stop more missiles from being launched?? I must've died a gazillion times in this level (hardened difficulty).
