FSU is playing really well, considering...

kentucky kicked a field goal to go up 17-14... FSU guys got called for leaping and gave kentucky a first down....
they ended up having to kick another field goal and missed it...
now it is halftime and 14-14 haha

shut your fucking mouth, Bobby Bowden. They call EVERYONE for diving into the endzone. How bout you control your god-damned players and THEN we'll talk about the officials. After all, isn't a quarter of your fucking team NOT AT THIS BOWL GAME? hell, you shouldn't even be allowed to PLAY this game. If it were up to me, bobby, your whole fucking team would be sitting at home in Tallahassee, so just be happy you have a game to play, asshole

I'm so sick and damn tired of watching players flip into the end-zone, taunt, show boat, and dive. That Fla. State defensive back could have given two shits that he hurt his team field position wise. He was just happy that he got his int, td, and stats. He was laughing it up on the sidelines and doing all his thug shout outs. After watching all this shit over the years it has progressively gotten worse. The 15 yard penalties obviously don't affect them and obviously the coaches don't stop it, so I propose that they do like they do for unsportsmanlike shit at high school games... THROW THEM THE FUCK OUT OF THE GAME! That will stop it.

FSU is in the game b/c they are athletic, all the way through. Plus, they have more to play for than Kentucky.

Kentucky is overrated as well.

And I don't agree that the whole FSU team should be at home. Don't penalize the whole team b/c some players wanted to cheat. Bowl games are privileges and the ones who didn't deserve to go, stayed at home.

dude. the whole team is dirty. Do you really think that ONLY a quarter of the team is dirty because ONLY a quarter of the team was implicated? No, only those players go caught doing something. When a quarter of your fucking team gets caught cheating in the SAME INCIDENT, it shows a culture of corruption. When such a culture exists, it infects the entire organization.

The only way to attack that kind of culture is to attack the whole group. It sucks that some of the players are actually honest. Maybe THEIR plight would be enough to force the university to institute sweeping changes and clean up the program. But only punishing the symptoms will accomplish nothing. That's why I would advocate banning the team from the bowl game. Hell, weren't we banned from postseason play in basketball in 1973 when just ONE player on the team was accused of impropriety? That's ONE fucking player (not to mention that the charges were bogus) on a team of at least 10, right? I'd say 1 out of 10 is much less eggregious than 25 out of 81.

I'm sure there are some clean, honest guys on the team. And I'd just hate to see them penalized b/c of the corrupt ones...
But I agree with what you are saying.

I agree, their probably are one or two honest players on the team. I would normally suspect the kicker of being honest, but even the KICKER at FSU is dirty. What the hell

But if you ban them from the bowl game...how about the other team? Just leave them hanging out to dry...the money involved? Not gonna happen.

no. Just pick a team that got left out. They had already sold the tickets, so who cares? The point is to PUNISH a team for CHEATING. What a crazy fucking idea.

so in your ideal world:

1) the music city bowl officials tell everyone who was going to come see florida state play to go ahead and cancel their vacation and try and get refunds on hotels and airfare
2) then, said officials call up troy a week before the game and try and get them to call back all their players from christmas break to practice for a game against an SEC opponent
3) lastly, the fsu players who didn't cheat are given 40 lashes for being near guys who did.

this is an awesome idea

Absolutely. The whole idea is to punish the PROGRAM so that the PROGRAM will be run clean. You don't think there will be a lot of pissed off FSU fans that had to cancel their plans that will then put pressure on the AD to run a clean program? You don't think Troy would love to play in a bowl game, even on short notice? They'll get the bowl money regardless, remember that. And, you don't think the other fsu players aren't just as dirty as the ones that got caught? You are delusional if you think otherwise.

Hell, worse comes to worse, you CANCEL the football game completely, and make FSU reimburse everyone who lost money on account of FSU's inability to run a clean program. I don't care if bankrupts the university, because the university is at fault anyway for allowing such a dirty program to exist.

Nice play by the TT punter to avoid disaster. He picked up a snap that went over his head and kicked it sideways with his left foot to avoid the block and get it past the line of scrimmage.

Sometimes coaches fall in love with gadget plays and wrinkles in bowl games. Today, Phil Fulmer is one of those coaches.
