I think that there is an issue with NCSU athletics but i DON'T think it is Fowler. I think it comes from a fickle fan base and the shadow that is UNC.

I say UNC because of the proximity and local fanbase. I hate UNC with ALL my heart but they have support coming out of their sweat pores. Their fans support the lacrosse team and the women's field hockey team. We can't get people to ACC basketball games just because we are mad. Not to mention the ACC director and the Big Ten director are both UNC alums.

NC State has the second most members of its athletic support club (Wolfpack Club) in the ACC but we rank towards the bottom of amount of money donated. Money = Success whether you like it or not. People say, "I'm not giving to a shitty program" when the program is shitty because no one will give. If you are one of the few that do, don't reply to this and say, I give my fair share every year. I say thank you to that. But support = success = pride, so just support whatever is there. Just think, 11 years ago, students were going to basketball games in an outdated Reynold's Coliseum and a rundown Carter-Finley Stadium. Now they have RBC center, Vaughn Towers, fully enclosed bowl, and Murphy Center. 10 years people!!!

Oh yeah, and a new Softball field and soccer stadium.

Shit you guys have it wrong....first option should be Cobb. I have been screaming this for over a year now. Cobb has experience at a lower D-1AA level so it wouldn't be a big adjustment for him. Plus we have seen what he can do as a AD. I got to see firsthand how much more their budget, facilities, etc got expanded mainly because of him. Look at ASU sports now compared to when Roachel Laney was in....although Roachel did a decent job Cobb has took that program to an unheard of level across the board.
