cheezcurd ... No idea, I haven't been able to replicate that on any number of boxes ... maybe you have an extension that's causing problems?

Alternately, you could try using a fresh profile and see if that fixes it, extensions can cause problems sometimes if the developer is not careful or doesn't follow the rules.

ever since i started using ff3 (even the early betas) the favicons on my bookmarks get screwed up from time to time. for example, my google bookmark (no, i never got in the habit of using ctrl+k) has the ars technica favicon. wtf?

it happens to me, also only with Google Reader. It seems to be replaced with random sites that are linked to from GReader. But whenever I click it to go directly to Reader, the right icon comes back

i had that problem. it's some simple line of code. i fixed it by installing adblock plus. weird, but true.

Anyone using the beta having trouble with the tabs being too sensitive? 90% of times when I go to switch tabs by click on them, it will pull the tab into its own window instead. Really fucking annoying.

edit: Apparently it is a feature, called tab-tearing, but it is way too sensitive. People are saying that the newest build was supposed to be less sensitive, but it really is pretty much the same, a huge pain in the ass.

I spent about 30 mins going through everything I could think of in about:config, and I google a bunch of crap and found no solution. I just have to either use keyboard shortcuts to switch tabs, or very slowly and carefully click.

Mainly because at work I need to have multiple copies of Firefox installed to do development tests on. I haven't really had any problems with 3.1 beta so far. Every now and then it will crash on me; usually attribute that to an extension conflict/problem as I'm running a few that aren't technically compatible with 3.1 yet. Sort of forced them to work haphazardly.

i just tried it and i have to drag the tab around 4cm to tear the tab
i'd hardly call that sensitive

^ It's kinda odd, because it behaves differently on all three boxes I have it installed on. I never ever get accidental tears on my ubuntu box, and I get very few of them on one of the extra windows desktops I have at work, but on my windows laptop it tears just from being clicked on, no dragging at all. All three installations are as up to date, I'll see if the patch posted a few up helps at all.

so i just messed around with my userChrome.css for the first time, pretty proud of myself. moved my delicious and FF bookmarks toolbars to the left of the address bar, hid the label from the bookmark folder, hid a delicious button and switched out the icon for another

I just tried it and it only took about 3 or 4 pixels of movement, and the tab was still well within the 'tab bar' when it broke (ok probably not pixels at my resolution but 3 or 4 increments of as small a mouse movement as possible)

that is way too sensitive, you should at least have to drag it outside of the tab bar itself before it will break out

also there's some problems with facebook chat updating after the initial load, not that I ever use it

^ you know, i like the IDEA of the vertical tree tabs thing...but when i installed the first thing that i immediately hated was how much it cut down on my browser real estate

sure, you can make it smaller, but then you can barely read the open tabs...also, having this huge gray space when i only have ~10 tabs open seems like an awful waste

the tabbing system is nice because it generally doesn't take up any more space regardless of whether you have 1 or 20 open (though you have to scroll)...i'm sure there's a double-row tab extension, maybe i'll try that

I pretty much hated it yesterday, but the more I use it the more I like it.

I'm working on a good sized monitor and 99% of the websites I use have vertical content more-so than horizontal, so I don't really feel the loss of browser real estate.

Also I have occasions where I'm working with 20+ tabs and having them in trees is amazingly helpful in keeping them organized and easily accessible.

that's probably true...i'm stuck with three 19" 4:3 monitors which, really, is useful for most things since i don't need wide screens (individually)...but when the browser is stuck on a 19" 4:3, it's kinda sucky
