no, you dont get it... the point of the game is to be the best simulation possible of a real world thing (NCAA football). If you lose that relationship then things (accomplishments) lose their frame of reference. For example, that stupid fucking NFL Blitz game, people could get 10-20 sacks a game, but because its SO different from anything remotely close to real life "10-20" doesnt mean jack shit because you cant compare it to real world events/stats.


if you want to play a fantasy game, fine, go play it, fighting game? sure, go play it, they can be as weird and as wacky as you want, more power to you.. but a sports simulation game has to be as close to reality as possible or there's no point

ha. just beat USC 28-24 with UVA on AA(5min quarters). Broke a 60yd td run with about a 1min to go to take the lead. Stopped USC on 2 4th and shorts and they missed a field goal wide right. Threw 3 interceptions, one going for 6. Unfortunately the deep ball looks a little too good. oh well, gonna take a break now and let my cousin play some.

And I believe tracer should be the next person in line since we had just reached 12 people when he wanted to join.

I think with the running up the score/playing unrealistic issue

Its ok in some instances when its just an exhibition game

but in a dynasty, where stats accumulate and people are playing for awards, AA teams, etc.

it lessens the fun for everyone who is playing realistic

Whenever I get a chance I'm gonna set up the league so people can join as they get the game, then screw around with the preseason stuff like redshirting until we start the games later on

Alright I think we're going to have to allow somewhat ridiculous scores in our non user vs users games against cupcake teams

I just put up 70 in the first half against a 1-AA team with fucking Duke

so there will no doubt be some scores in the hundreds early on

Basically I never even look at the rules or think about them because they are all based on the spirit of the game. If you watch football none of the rules are typically broken (ya rare cases but not really) and the hurry up offense thing is just a way to run the same cheese play over and over.

I can understand ones gripe about the running up the score because it does borify the game but you can't have the no quitting rule without it imo. My method is work on learning new run plays and if the clock can end let it end. If someone has been beat and concedes without quitting (a team punting 4th and 20 down 40 with 2 minutes left) then you should at least do them the decency of working on the clock to get the game over with. We get it, you've won. Act like you've been there before. If someone continues pass to run up the score and extend a game that is already over, the loser will get upset and put the stick down or turn their xbox up.

and if you guys don't want me in your league fine, I'm in others and won't sweat but if I can play I'll play and be a great fair yet still dominant member to the league. You won't have to worry about me quitting, not playing, cheesing, or losing all my games.

If you get the red rings just do the towel trick.

I think AA will be fine for most games, just against really shitty teams it might get ugly

Maybe we change one of those to a middle tier non conference opponent to make it fair for everyone else

i picked up my copy today but havent been able to play it yet. i did play the demo a few times so i have a basic grasp on it. i havent played a dynasty though since the 2004 version i think, so all the recruiting and everything is gonna be pretty rough. also still tryin to get the hang of the xbox controller. i dont mind losin though. not like maryland is any good anyway.
