He isn't the best qb in the country, he was one of the top qb recruits. Huge difference there.

^you know thats what I meant. I'm not dumb enough to think he's Tim Tebow.

And as far as being "one of the best" (recruits)....I said "THE" best because thats what O'Brien called him. Not one of the best, THE best.

Jimmy Clausen was the #1 QB too and he got put right into the fire as a freshman.

Just for shits and giggles, I'm going to argue that Clausen did not earn his ranking as the #1 qb that year, but was ranked that high because of his name.

Glennon on the other hand, was ranked high in SPITE of his name

[Edited on September 1, 2008 at 12:44 AM. Reason : and this years NC State team would beat last years ND team. lol. ]

I don't think we're as bad off as most with Evans. We're definitely not BETTER off with him, but I don't think it's going to make much of a difference anyways.

It seemed like Evans wasn't mentally ready to go in Thursday. They had built the whole game around Wilson, and then BAM Evans is in there trying to make things happen out of the shotgun. Maybe now that he knows he's the man, he and the coaches will go into games with a different mindset.

I'm expecting a lot of West-Coast offense with our big WRs running crossing routes all over the field. Then every now and then, we'll see his patented rainbow pass. He can be a halfway decent QB if he gets time to throw (this is a BIG if, I know). If he's feeling heat consistently, it's going to be a long-ass season.

So for now I'll say go Daniel Evans and pray Wilson gets back soon.

"N.C. State: It's not that the Wolfpack imploded on national television in a 34-0 loss to South Carolina on Thursday, but that it offered little hope for the next 11 games and maybe beyond.

Theoretically, freshman quarterback Mike Glennon is being redshirted so he can lead the program for the next four years. If older brother Sean's genes are any indication, State fans better hope Mike is the Beyonce to Sean's Solange. "

Given that they're talking about football you'd think they would go for an analogy that a man could relate to. Beyonce/Solange. I have no idea what they're getting at. And yes, [old].
