So let me get this straight. He goes out with your friend, dumps her, which for whatever reason leads to him also forgetting about you. Then he randomly calls you and eventually asks you out?

Him going out with your friend is one thing, it's not as if you two had anything going on anyway and you handled that part rather maturely. It's the part where he ignores you after getting dumped. Am I missing something here? I interpreted what you wrote as him somehow being pissed at not only her, but anybody associated with her (which makes absolutely zero sense to me and makes him sound like an incredible dick). Then he storms off and then comes back a couple of years later and randomly asks you out. Is all of this correct?

I would have just said "fuck it," moved on with my life and then told him to go fuck himself 8 ways to Sunday. But I'm admittedly condemnatory like that.

he just avoided the entire crowd whenever she was around....i mean...he lives in SC so it's not like he's around a lot...

he would still talk to me, her sister, and her dad....but would basically run the other way if he saw her with us...


he said she's crazy and a liar....which i have found out since then....i still love her but there is no denying these things

side story....

my ex-bf's best friend has moved back to Tennessee after being gone for 5 years....he's been calling me lately...

he was going through a nasty divorce and we got to be pretty close because he needed somebody to talk to....he said several times that he wished my bf was better to/for me and that he would treat me the way i deserved to be treated but i always wrote it off as his just liking having a girl in his life that wasn't a nasty bitch like his ex wife...

i saw him last year at the ex's funeral and he was once again going through a nasty divorce...seems to be a pattern with him

anyway....he keeps making comments about us getting together but that's book in my life that's been put on the shelf never to be opened again....

^^she dumped him....so that's not likely to happen

update

saw him tonight....we chit chatted and caught up


i was told by a man that has known him his entire life...and works with him...that he would be looking for me once he got here...

he also told me that he comes home to siler city every weekend to see some religious chick he's been dating since january or so...

it angered me that when changing my status it kept failing so i made a post about it in the mod forum and qntmfred updated some code to at least alert the user when it fails - if you tried to change your status previously and it failed then the user was never alerted
