the jetta has taken the back burner until i can free up some space..

a couple weeks ago i picked up a 79 scirocco. i actually owned it before, but it came back to me.

so i am doing a 2.0 aba from a 97 jetta into it, complete with the whole wiring harness (tail lights to head lights) while retaining all of the original switches/gauges and it will to have the obd2 port functional. it is coming along and it should be out of the way in a month or two.

here's a pic.. with the jetta in the background.

hey slut's car - turbo.

I'd say a VR with transmission is too heavy, probably doesn't just bolt in and has too much torque. This car probably only weighs 1800ish lbs

There is no replacement for displacement traction.

i think it would be a decent run. i've got the horsepower, but he's got the weight. i'm currently on a pretty aggressive nitrous tune at the moment, which cripples the engine a good 20-25rwhp.

Yeah, reckon an HX35 is too much snail for a B18A? Seriously, Ray, if I can get a few side jobs, then it's ON. Quinn...talk to me, baby. Let's do this thang.

huge and laggy... hx35... does not compute

surely a wh1c with a 12cm housing wouldnt be too much of a drag (or hx35.. ps you can identify the housing by looking inside of one of the volutes for a number, 12, 14, 16 for wastegated, 18cm for non-gated)

got primer on the side window jambs & door jambs.

my fingers hurt from getting all the little bits of paint out of the nooks and crannies. i really don't want to ever do that again.
