I was trying to find this thread since I just joined Last.fm and I realized just how disconnected I am from the music scene. Pretty much the only things I have in common with anyone that I can see is Modest Moust and Radiohead. I've never even heard of the 90% of the other bands..

I'll admit I tried out Pandora over the weekend on my phone since I had a long drive...and fuck Pandora. Played nothing but popular songs (granted it was the relevant genre), played commercials when I skipped songs, and eventually told me I couldn't skip a song because I had done it too much. Despite the fact I was using their built in thumbs down system.
