Also wut loves college rankings more than most UNC men love penis. Seriously college ranking systems are extremely flawed and partly based on opinion. Rankings mean jack squat. The true measure of a university should be by the impact of its alumni, not some shit hole formula developed by journalism majors working at a magazine trying to make a profit.

I can't find it at the moment, but there was an alternative college ranking system based primarily off the impact on and contribution to society it's graduates have. I'm pretty sure Texas Tech was the "best" school in the country, according to their criteria.

I don't think that NCSU is that inferior to UNC.

they look good on the outside because they have good sports teams, a pretty campus, and professional schools.

State puts all of our money into research and extension, which people don't see when they compare us to UNC but we are the real think tank university that is making scientific breakthroughs that move our country forward.

funny story...i'm at the bar in charlotte on saturday night (after state beat wake, umd beat unc)...
there is a group of state fans in the bar, and this one girl in a state shirt whose kind of drunk mentions
trying to get a WOLF...PACK chant going in the bar...i didnt think it would work but i was like ok
whatever...and it did work...for a good 20 seconds the bar (which isnt affiliated with any school)
had a nice WOLF...PACK chant going...and then some UNC fan tried to yell out something and she
told him to shut up and that he was a bitch...lol good times

In just about every other state in the union, a state's two universities
(University of ____ vs. ____ State University) are in fact rivals.

i realize that NCSU doesnt have a Medical school or a Law school, but this isnt
about professional schools. this is about undergrads -- who are as stupid at UNC
as they are at State.

and while the Law and Med schools at UNC may be rivals of their counterparts at Duke...
the undegrads at UNC have little to nothing in common with the spoiled rich kids
from New Jersey who populate the undergrad classes at Duke.
