I think the biggest issue here is that she is pretty immature and must still be in the phase where it's cool to brag about being black out drunk or something. She must also thrive on drama. If what she says really happened then obviously she did something pretty fucked up to have someone wanna push her out of a car.

She could also say she was black out drunk, but "just happens" to remember certain events.
