Obviously not right after the election since it was a fairly controversial victory. In the time of crisis surrounding September 11th he did indeed enjoy support from liberals and conservatives alike. See his 90% approval rating briefly after the attacks. It wasn't until after he started screwing things up that democrats and eventually many conservatives began to dislike him again.
