there is a big difference between a good moderator and a good poster, the 2 don't always overlap. basically you want someone to keep up with the section and not abuse power (abuse meaning locking / deleting threads they don't agree with rather than enforcing the rules)

I'd like to vote against Supplanter. Study hall does not need moderation. Few enough people post in there (including trolls) that i doubt there is more than 2 or 3 requests sent to moderation per month. The only real problem in SH other than people who misbehave in other 'serious' sections also (aka amac lulz) is potential threads made with incorrect titles.

that mother fucker just wants to be able to access the mod forum and ban people. If you really want more people to post in SH, fix school tool completely and give people who actually go to school to a reason to join other than 'for the lulz".




FURTHERMORE I think people who aren't students and don't post in SH or even look at it should be allowed to vote. Since you know you're looking for a moderator for that section. Maybe if administration explained why they even bother with specific moderators for sections that no one posts in, we'd be able to more accurately decide who we would like to vote for.
