So, dude ended up taking me wakesurfing, then to dinner. Wine at his place later. He seems so young, then he tells me a story about an nc state vs ecu game that happened in 1991. He asked if I remembered it. I was 7. He was 23. Weird!

Sure, kids will change my body. But I have a body built for poppin' out babies! Healthy hips. And I live in Florida, where great plastic surgeons are on every corner.

Besides, I don't plan to have my own kids. Might as well be of use to other people who really want them but can't have them on their own.

ha yeah. Water pump pulley didn't have bolts in it, so the big ass wrench thing we had to hold the pulley in order to get the fan clutch off wouldn't work. Got the bright idea to remove the alternator and A/C to check the hose. Hose looked like it got caught up in a grinder. Put replacement hose on and it runs like a charm. Still considering trading though.

Also, bttt.... how have your opinions changed 5 years later? I'm currently 29 and going out tonight with a 39 year old. Not something I would have expected a few years ago. This will most definitely be my largest +/- age gap. I went out with a 23 year old for a few weeks and while it was fun at night there just wasn't a whole lot there. The 39 year old and I work in similar industries and the text convos have been good, but I don't know how it'll translate in person.

Twas not. I think I was 26 at the time dating someone who was 33/34 maybe?? My wife is only a 2 yrs older than me (I always look at it as how many grades above me would she have been in school...and that would have been just one).

But in general, that can be an issue with dating older women...but thats only if you're looking to get serious. With that particular relationship, it sucked because I was pretty smitten with the girl and she only saw me as a fling. But if you're only looking for a fling (which you should be doing with most older women), then its great.

The other issue if you're seriously dating an older woman is having children. Obviously it won't matter if you're dating someone in her 40s and she's done having kids. But if you're 29 and dating someone in their mid-30s who wants to have kids at some point..you better realize that they will be coming sooner or later. So you better be prepared to shit or get off the pot.

I loved my experiences with older women and I dated a few "seriously". But I never had any expectations of them being very long term just because I knew that the marriage/family component would probably never work out. As much as I love everything about my wife...if there is anything I could change about her, it would be for her to be two years younger as opposed to two years older....if only because it would set that biological clock back a few years and we could post-pone the baby train for a little longer.
