As time moves on, I think tww is going to condense to a group of people that can't maintain relationships.

^^oh how I know that feeling! Then having to drive 6-7 hours back to your other life, where you just talk to your SO in text messages and sexts for a few weeks until you get to see them again. I dont know how people in the military do it!

The past two months since we ended the long distance part has been great! It was definitely worth it! And I'm glad I'm not spending so much in gas anymore too!

It gets easier, and it gets harder. My bf and I have maintained a pretty good average of seeing each other once a month, generally for a week at a time. I will say that I think we cherish the time we do spend together more than we necessarily would if we lived in the same city (or the same house). That said, he is coming here on Thursday, and I am already getting the sick feeling in my stomach when I think about him leaving next Wednesday.

and for those inquiring minds, we are in a really good place right now. you can all have your own opinions/assessments and I understand that. but from where I stand, he made a mistake, I have forgiven him, and we are moving forward beyond it. I feel like we are closer now than ever before, and hopefully we are more prepared to deal with any number of things we might encounter in our future (both as a couple and as individuals).

^^Good for you! That must have been hard, but I'm glad it's all worked out and you two can focus on each other and having a happy future together!

Been married for 4 years.

I work/live in NJ while the husband continues to live in our house in NC.

Doing a long distance relationship for 1.5 years now.

Came up here to start a new business as a part owner. An opportunity I couldn't pass up.
I try to go home at least every other weekend, but he works every other weekend too which means its hard to get in time together.

Funny thing is, that is doesn't bother me as much as it does him and he was active duty military for 6 years and did two deployments. I would have thought he would have been better with it. I think it's because my coworkers are primarily male and he saw a lot of relationships go bad during deployments.... I've just never been the jealous kind so I have a hard time understanding it.
