he originally sold tab and slot kits where you welded them up yourself. i didn't see those on the website anymore. i'd like to get some of the 12" ones as well. they're expensive for squares, but they're really gonna be convenient. they'll replace a bunch of magnets, framing squares, speed squares, combo squares, etc. and do what they all do much better. 12/20/2018 10:45:39 PM |

^you doing welding projects for $ these days? I may be interested in converting an old pop-up camper frame into a trailer. The camper portion has been removed, so it's just a frame / bracing, hitch, axel, and wheels.

I blew up the blade on my miter saw when it bound and tried to lift the small piece of 1x3 I was cutting. There was a loud bang. Carbide teeth everywhere. Chunk of the aluminium saw arm missing and turned to splinters. Pants almost brown. Fingers attached. What was left of the piece of wood I was cutting thrown 30 feet across the front yard.
Third f-ing cut on a brand new blade.
And now I'm not sure the arbor is running true. 1/4/2019 2:32:04 PM |

^^ Oh, I am.
I broke out some measuring tools and it looks like the blade is running about 1 degree off orthogonal to the working surface. There's no wobble on the blade so it means that the whole motor assembly shifted in the housing. Naturally it's canted in a direction I can't correct by tilting the saw. Maybe I'll spring for a new, bigger saw. 1/7/2019 2:49:41 PM |
