i was running late and lazy this morning, so i hit up Starbucks instead of making my own at home.


these baristas take their coffee seriously

so they hand me my Triple Venti Latte w/ 2 Splendas and it's extremely light, aka lots of foam. a latte should not have 2 inches of foam in the top of the cup and my latte did. i hand it back and say "that's a little light......." and she's like "a latte is supposed to have foam ma'am" and she says it all snippy-like so i get snippy and say "a latte shouldn't be half foam, that's a cappuccino" and she mutters "whatever" under her breath as she scoops out a RIDICULOUS amount of foam from the cup and pours in more steamed milk. puts the lid on, hands me my cup without saying a word, and moves on to another drink.

uh, i ordered a latte. i am not paying $4.62 for a latte with half the milk it should have in it. i'm not stirring in the foam, because 1) it wouldn't make up for that much milk, and 2) i paid $4.62 for a latte and i want a god damned latte.
