I enjoyed. Will be really interesting to see the new characters that have been added. I would guess the Alliance members that will be showing up more will be the red-headed girl, the guy who "saved" them, and the guy who was on Heroes at the end. And of course Lou Diamond is now on the ship directly.

I'm guessing the aliens (or maybe the ship itself) have the ability to preserve your consciousness when you die. While she was on the verge of death, they held her there until her physical body pulled through. The baby died, so it stayed. They also knew where the ship was going to jump to next and showed her the nebula to send her a message.

If that's not exactly it, I would think it's close. I thought it was fairly obvious.

First thing I thought they might do was power the entire ship down and act derelict to give time to figure out what was going on. That would have saved some damage I think if they did it fast enough maybe? Seems the drones reacted to movement/power sources flying around. Wouldnt have been as exciting but still.

I never bought the whole SGU story anyhow. Still entertaining on it's own right, but the way they told the story was very much different than SG-1 and SGA, probably why old SG fans weren't diehard fans of this one. I still watched it, but I wasn't on the whole "I can't wait till the next episode" feeling like SG-1 was. I applaud them for trying to break the rule and do something new, but there's just a lot of wtf moments.

Maybe they'll do a movie after the last episodes? Or branch off yet another SG series in a different galaxy. I'm liking the idea of SG set in the distant future, like 100 years, where everything about the SGC is known and Earth starts colonizing the galaxy.

Just finished re-watching sga back to back and really noticed that season 5 overused the word subterfuge. I was like "didn't they just used that word the previous four episodes?", stupid writers getting lazy on their vocab and endless use of cheap plot twists that are predictable. God, I forgot how bad the final episode was. Too much shit happened and a lot of unknown variables that weren't explained properly in 40 mins. I was slapping my head every 5 mins.

I honestly don't like the part of where Rush was hording the bridge to himself for like 5 episodes. I mean, wouldn't they have looked for that in the ships schematics? But the whole Lucian Alliance drama has been pretty interesting in sgu.

Just caught up on the last 4 episodes and now I'm pissed to discover it got shit-canned.

And I agree, SyFy (blech) has got almost nothing good on anymore. Caprica was piss-poor in comparison to BSG, but I really enjoyed SGU. I liked the different feel and vibe of this show. SG:A was not nearly as interesting as SGU. Eureka is still good, but some of it has fallen off. Warehouse 13 I really enjoy though. And Sanctuary is okay too. But WTF with all the damn wrestling on SyFy? That has NOTHING to do with this channel and should stay on some other channel.

SGU suffered from alot of the same bad character writing and horrible shit subplots that caprica had.

You cant have a show with alot of bad episodes and then a few good ones and expect it to survive.

^True, but I would not put it on the level of being as bad as Caprica. At least SGU had a decent amount of action going on and you felt like the show was moving forward, whereas sometimes I felt like after watching Caprica that fucking nothing had happened in that whole hour.

^Agreed. At least SGU was getting good. It took a little while to establish the characters, ship, location, and was beginning to finally add some aliens and control of the ship. But now we are going to lose it.

At least with Caprica it was still just plodding along and not really improving. If anything it was getting worse, so I understood why they were shelving it.
