I'm 6'4'', an NCSU graduate, and an engineer at a software company. I'll get a masters when my company pays for it, holla.

Worst case scenario, I just do freelance writing. Then I could potentially work from anywhere. Live in FL or NC. Or split my time btwn two places.

I did some freelance for Covers a few years ago

Easy work, easy money, and I did it from my laptop on a lounge chair at the pool

I'd do it full time if I could clear 6 figs

internet dating is odd... I've gone on sooo many dates, and the guys look nice and have good profiles, but when I meet them, I just don't feel any attraction. I usually have more luck w/ guys outside dating sites b/c physical attraction is the first thing that happens, but it's really hard to make that step.
So my question is, how do you meet guys with any regularity in the real world?

BA or MA... are you serious? Arts degrees are for girls, homos, and bed-wetting sissies.

MS is where it's at.

ok, so its more like a college education is a requirement, the higher the better, and I prefer the science fields, actually.

well, I don't usually stick to my requirements, tho I should. it just seems that people w/ a college education usually have some sort of ambition and means to make a decent salary, instead of waiting tables or cutting hair.

I've met a ton of smart people w/ little or no higher education, but they also don't usually have a steady income either.

And no, I 'm not a romantic who thinks love will conquer all, because when it comes down to it, I don't want to be the only breadwinner. Money is a major stress to any relationship.

For $18.99 a month, I have a SHOT.

My requirements are of the following:

No fat chicks, but no rails, either
Boobs not really important, but ass is very important.
No alcoholic, cig-smoking bitches with raspy voices, but also no annoyingly athletic chicks.
Southern-accent and knows how to dress a huge plus.

...

Love,

yup.

I sound rude about it but EVERY BF or anyone I've dated education and overall wise hasn't been on my level. It doesn't bother me but b/c of all the past exps. I am trying to up my qualifications for dating so maybe I can actually meet someone of quality.

last guy in SD i dated only had AAs and it was like talking to a 4 year old at times and the last BF also only had an AA and he was smart but he was always broke.

Have you been intentionally settling? And what exactly is your level? Why do you think you aren't attracting a man who is on your level?

no never settled, I just never thought it was right to judge people. I've never had a bf to have a bf.
Just always worked that way b/c i'd fall for who they were not what they had...awe...
but levelwise it would be someone with a Master's degree or higher and tall. If I get more detailed it eliminates a lot but it would be nice from somewhat of a similar upbringing and social background.

both of my friends in SD that i mentioned earlier have PhDs, and one actually put a higher degree as one of her requirements and she found plenty of matches to go out with -- her boyfriend now is a dentist

not sure about the height thing though (the dentist is on the shorter side, though he's awesome and has a house in la jolla 2 blocks from the beach)

Getting a masters or phd doesn't make you smarter

It means you had the means for higher education, but plenty of dumbasses have advanced degrees

There's a lot of high paying jobs where anything above a bachelor's would be frivolous

Here's a lesson. You will never find one person with all of the attributes that you want. You either have to learn to compromise or simply date multiple people simultaneously who can fulfill all of your needs.

Bigger lesson. Only one of these people should move into bf territory. The one who is good in bed. The others will have to be friends.
