Maybe they break frequently whether or not you're there.
Maybe you travel during a high usage time. I don't know how the metro where you are works.

this is probably a good time to add that that taking my adderall on no sleep tends give me nausea and the spins and general makes me feel far worse. So basically im asking because if i dont get a little more sleep then i could fuck myself taking the adderall or I may be less productive if i dont take it. 12/9/2009 9:32:05 AM |

Okay, I may have to fix this. My film taste is in line with my beer taste.
I mean, if you want a nice primer for "film", just go on Coen Brothers or PT Anderson film binge and then go from there.
New question: Favorite fiction authors? Favorite novels? 12/12/2009 4:59:08 PM |
McDanger All American 18835 Posts user info edit post |
Quote : | "Favorite fiction authors? Favorite novels?" |
The favorite fiction I've read is by Goethe and Herbert.
"Dune" is probably my favorite novel of all time, but there are some shorter works by Goethe that are in my top picks as well ("The Sorrows of Young Werther")
Fiction's one of those things I want to get into more, but I spend so much time every day reading nonfiction that I'm pretty burned out on reading by the time I get home. There's plenty of other stuff I've enjoyed as well (Asimov's short stories are fun; Douglas Adams' books aren't high literature but they're extremely witty and entertaining)12/12/2009 5:01:25 PM |

Favorite visual art genre and artists? 12/12/2009 5:03:44 PM |
McDanger All American 18835 Posts user info edit post |
Hard to say. I find sculpture the most technically impressive art. By that standard, Michelangelo is my favorite artist.
I really like impressionism though. Monet and Van Gogh really impress me from that era (is Van Gogh impressionist? seems like it. I don't know much about this).
Kandinsky's on my list too. I like some abstract stuff, but mostly from the early 20th century. Not much a fan of the Pollock-style abstract stuff. 12/12/2009 5:07:52 PM |
lucyinthesky All American 11614 Posts user info edit post |
Van Gogh is post-impressionist. Close, but not the same. Inspired by impressionist art, but a little more liberal with style. More apt to use geometric shapes and other techniques you wouldn't see necessarily in impressionist art.
