first random doubles are tonight I believe (usually starts the first friday of May)


I'll be out there before and to play in it


$5 to play (that includes your ace pool donation) and top teams get prizes (usually discs)

it is ""random draw," but it is a Pro/Am as much as possible (you will more than likely get paired up with either a pro or and advanced player)

registration is from 530-6 and drawing of teams is at 6 sharp, usually tee off at 630

I haven't played in a couple of years, but it was always a good time- if you are looking for something to do, and felt like playing, this is a great way to meet some new players and pick up some hints/tips from some pros, and it is an all around good time. hope to see some of yall out there!

I, on the other hand, played like doodoo, but hey- I had fun... and I had a CTP until someone in the last group somehow managed to best me (still don't know how...). Ah well, leaves room for next time!

I just got back from playing... it was wet! found 2 discs at kaplan though, and that never happens (they were both DX, and I gave one to my friend) - don't worry though, no names, so I'm not that guy!



^the katana, I am not a huge fan- yes, it goes far, but you need a freaking open field- I bought the star version before they got it over here on the east coast, and it won't beat in. I use it for a big turn disc because I just can't get it to stay straight for any period of time, and certainly can not get it to turn over like it is rated to do. It is fast though!

there are some homemade baskets (cause he had to make the course all on his own... it's on the dudes property)

it has a hanging hole, which I think is the tire hole, which I think is pretty cool- a little gimicky but pretty cool nonetheless

3 bucks for a single round, 5 bucks for a day of play (it has 3 multiple layouts so you could play 3 times and it would be "different" each time)


I've never played there, but that is the place Darol wanted to play in the tournament when he was gonna come up here and forgot yall had the road clean up thing

I havent played disc gold since I have gotten back to Raleigh. Let me know if yall are trying to play some time.

Also, does anyone just throw the ultimate disc? Sometimes its just too crowded out at Kaplan and lately I've been enjoying just throwing the ultimate disc. If anyone is trying to go out to the intermural fields and throw, that would be awesome. I would also like to try to play some ultimate frisbee.
