i thought washed out was pretty good. granted, there's not much to the performance, but the guy had a LOT of energy and was really trying to get the crowd into it.

^your friend is right. the "despicable dogs" remix with washed out is better than anything either has done exclusive of each other.

FUCK

Best Coast right before Javelin and Future Islands

Atlas Sound and Bowerbirds at the same time

[Edited on July 9, 2010 at 3:10 PM. Reason : I'm ok with missing a little bit of Javelin since they're playing Cherry Bounce in a few weeks]

the vip party is thursday night, i assume it'll start around 9-10

there may or may not be a certain space-themed surf band playing at said party

So, I'm thinking about buying the Club wristband. I like Future Islands, Megafaun, and Lonnie Walker, but I haven't listened to alot of the other bands. Can anyone recommend some other groups to look into?

putting out an schedule was very un-hipster-like.

i fully expected them to leave it up to a few core group of hipsters to spread the word on when their favorite unknown band was playing, and leave it up to word of mouth to drive hipsters in masses to obscure locations.

for anyone who is interested, Ocean (one of the metal bands playing Hopscotch) will be doing an in-store performance on September 8, the Wednesday before Hopscotch starts, at 7 PM. Should be pretty cool.

Due to an unforeseen circumstance, I'll likely be missing thursday night.
