I'm gonna be there tomorrow. At some point I'm going to need to make a phone call. Is a quiet place going to be easy to find?

i couldn't hear the paramore show and i was two blocks from it, and they're certainly louder than gov't mule

i don't think it'll be that loud out of the beam of the PA

so stone temple pilots are playing here in october

i went on friday and thought it was a nice enough place...it definitely is not super loud though

they need to fix the issues with the lines...it took forever to get in...only two gates, one person at a time.

that's b/c the JACKPIT patio /= the boutique amphitheater

it's in downtown Raleigh, why the hell would you expect them to put on a decent show?

i wasn't exaggerating when i said two blocks.

i park right beside the damn thing, work a block away from it, and frequent bars on Martin & Wilmington, and i can't hear anything from the venue either.

it's a great set up, and the lack of spillover noise probably bodes well for the venue, but their booking still sucks huge balls.

There's a 4+ level public parking deck at the corner of Davie and Dawson, right beside the thing.

I would go to the Barenaked Ladies show, but they suck without Steven Page.

i thought it sounded more like there being something to do after a show, within walking distance, as opposed to the lack of things to do after a show at Koka or TWC

did the vampire weekend/beach house show just get announced or did i miss the announcement?

i am cautiously interested in seeing vampire weekend live. i know they probably won't be very good live, but i'm still curious. throw beach house on the bill, and i'm in.

wow, tickets are actually REALLY reasonable: $28.50/$37.50 and that's AFTER ticketmaster's $12.00 service fee. hard to believe mgmt is charging significantly more than vampire weekend/beach house.

I am excited for this Vampire Weekend show. From what I've seen of them, they are pretty good live. Should be fun times. Beach House too. Hooray.

I have bashed the booking by this shitty venue from day 1 ---- so now, I must praise them for booking VW and Beach House.

finally, a decent lineup (especially with Beach House)

It's nice to have, but it sucks that it ended Bud Light Downtown Live.

yes, i loved rednecks rolling in and being non-tipping assholes to my friends so that they could see the goddamn marshall tucker band play an 80 minute set

p.s. my plan for the beach house show is to lay on top of a parking deck and make out during their set and then do something more interesting when culture club vampire weekend is playing

Vampire Weekend/Beach House tickets bought. Went to the box office to get the student discount, spent $49 total on two seated center section tickets. As far as I'm concerned, that's a great price for the two bands involved.

$25 a piece is not bad at all. I can't get that discount, though.

I bet you could get away with it if you have an expired old student ID. They did not check mine closely at all.
