Graves college basketball game is just like fryes nba game. If somebody gets hurt graves will play 4 and barnes will relieve the 5. Henson is too skinny to play college basketball period but he does it. He will pose a matchup problem for any center and will be able to guard many centers effectively.

Tracy wouldn't draw him on defense. Either Leslie would get him in a man, or since they'd likely be forced to go pretty damn small if a SF is playing C (this scenario is fucking stupid man) you'd get a junk defense or zone

so now we have to play a whole new defense against it? sounds like an effective lineup to me

You could play with 5 PGs and the other team would have to play something besides man to guard it. Doesn't mean that it's effective.

Or you could just play zone because they have one player who has actually proven to be a threat from the perimeter.

Let's play college basketball trivia. What was the final national championship to be played in an arena rather than a dome? Name the year, venue, teams and final score.

In 1996, the top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats would beat the Syracuse Orangemen, 76-67, at the Izod Center (then the Continental Airlines Arena) in the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Seating capacity was only 20,000. For comparison, Lucas Oil Stadium, the host of the 2010 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, holds a crowd of 70,000 for basketball.

Brass Monkey's the guy that knows a shitload about stadiums(a), right?

You are correct, on both accounts. I hate the fact that they put the games in those huge ass domes now. What's the point in saying "oh I went to the 20__ National Championship game" if you are a mile away from the court and have to watch it on the jumbotron in order to see what the hell is going on?

Name the only 3 time ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Year award winners. Include their school and years they won the award.

You are correct Big Ego. You get the bonus for naming the years they won NPOY as well. Spontaneous got a bonus for comparing the sizes of the 1996 venue and this past years venue.

Spontaneous - 2
Big Ego - 2

Name the last team to go undefeated in a season. Include the coach, record and MOP of the tournament (this will probably surprise a lot of you considering who else was on the team).

just season or tourney too? if it's tourney too I can name about half of it including why it's surprising that a certain someone wasn't the MOP of the tourney. Don't know record or the MOP off the top of my head.

Bobby Knight, Indiana

If you don't know that, you should be taken out back and shot

If you know the record and MOP, you spent more time on Google than I was willing to waste

If you only take undefeated season into consideration it's UNLV, and that douche from Duke was probably MOP

Fun fact about that Final Four in New Jersey that Spontaneous mentioned. That was the first of John Calipari's two vacated Final Fours. Of course led by Edgar Padilla and Carmelo Travieso (oh and Marcus Camby -- but he got in trouble for banging strippers on Calipari's dime in the dorms).

Kent Benson was the MOP of the 1976 NCAA Tournament. Very surprising considering both Scott May (the 1976 NPOY) and Quinn Buckner were on that Indiana team as well.

Stanford lost on the last day of their regular season (March 6) at Washington, 75-62.
St. Joe's lost in their conference tourney opener (March 11) to Xavier, 87-67.

The Cardinal went 26-0 before their first loss and the Hawks went 27-0

So the Bob Knight coached Indiana Hoosiers went 32-0 (18-0) led by tournament top scorer Scott May (113 points) and MOP Kent Benson. The 1976 NCAA tournament was the first to pit two Big 10 teams in the title game.

After UCLA's 88 game winning streak, what is the second longest winning streak in college basketball? Include team, length of streak, and year(s).

After some research I believe (note: I'm not completely certain) the 47-game winning streak by Lew Alcindor's teams was the second longest. The streak ended at the Houston Astrodome as a record 52,693 fans watched the Houston Cougars upset the Bruins, 71-69. Another notable streak was the UNLV Runnin' Rebels 45-game winning streak that was ended by the Duke Blue Devils in the 1991 NCAA semifinal.

Here's a little noteworthy State trivia. In 1982 State was tied for 1st in scoring defense nationally with Princeton, allowing only 49.1 ppg. In 1948 State lead the land with the highest scoring margin with a 28.1 scoring margin (Offense - 75.3, Defense - 47.2).

So here's what I predict the tv schedule for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge to look like now that they've released the dates.

Nov. 29th
Virginia @ Minnesota - ESPNU - 7:00 pm

Nov. 30th
Florida State @ Ohio State - ESPN - 7:00 pm
Georgia Tech @ Northwestern - ESPNU - 7:00 pm
Iowa @ Wake Forest - ESPN2 - 7:30 pm
North Carolina @ Illinois - ESPN - 9:00 pm
Michigan @ Clemson - ESPN2 - 9:30 pm

Dec. 1st
North Carolina State at Wisconsin - ESPN - 7:15 pm
Maryland @ Penn State - ESPN2 - 7:30 pm
Indiana at Boston College - ESPNU - 7:30 pm
Michigan State at Duke - ESPN - 9:15 pm
Purdue @ Virginia Tech - ESPN2 - 9:30 pm

The only one that I think could be different is the Purdue/VT matchup taking the spot I have our game in.
