Several weeks ago, I went to Taco Bell to try the breakfast. I tried to order the 12-pack of Cinnabon Delights twice, but he kept correcting me that I wanted the 4-pack.

They were delicious, and I wanted 8 more of them.

Can't even remember the last time I've had Taco Bell. Maybe when that Doritos taco first came out?

If taco bell used quality ingredients in their food, they'd by far be the best fast food.

Cinnabon bites are good.

That XXL Steak taco is fucking tasty but costs 3.19$ which is quite the taco bell investment. That said, it is probably as sustaining as 2.5 normal tacos and 4x more delicious.

Chicken Burrito is hit or miss, I always order it with the 'regular' chicken, not that dog food shredded shit they pack in there by default now. I saw they have a new item:

Spicy Chicken Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Supreme Taco

all of those words are required to order it

Went to Taco Bell a few days ago after an 11 year hiatus.

So prices have increased by a lot, and sizes have decreased by a lot. In effect, the prices have increased by 100% of the prices 10-15 years ago.

well, bean burrito was $0.79 at NC State when I was there from 2000-2003. now it is $1.29. i was shocked when i took it out of the bag even before i unwrapped it, as it was tiny in length. opened it, and my first thought was that it was about 50-65% of the volume/mass of the ones from NC State a decade ago.

same with chicken burrito, significantly more expensive, and significantly smaller in size.

Not sure size has changed. Price definitely has though.

Wouldn't a price increase of 100% mean your $0.79 taco would now sell for $1.58?

[Edited on August 4, 2014 at 12:12 AM. Reason : and yeah i'm not sure the size has changed either]

^ take price and size both into account.

and yes, size has definitely changed. nobody with a straight face can say that the bean burrito now (assuming here they are uniform across states) is the same size/mass/volume as the ones from talley in 2000-2003.

if you ate from the talley taco bell regularly enough in during 2000-2002, please confirm!

I always get four hard shell beef taco supremes. I've never liked tomato on sandwiches or on salads, but I am beginning to tolerate it on my tacos. This is multiplied by the fact that no matter how much I say "supreme with no tomato" I still get tomato.

I suspect the tomatoes they use on tacos are pretty gross.

I remember friends who worked at Subway in high school would always say "never get the tomatoes on the sub, they're usually disgusting, but they slice them thin so you can't really tell".

I might be in the minority, but I find Subway to be disgusting in general. I have to be in a real pinch to eat there, Hardee's, Arby's, DQ or Quiznos.

Jersey Mikes, Chipotle, Qdoba, Wendy's, Chic Fil A, Char Grill, Bojangle's, and Taco Bell are my favorites. McDonald's is like a latent addiction that has to be met sometimes. Cookout or Snoopy's when I'm drunk and need late night food. I don't dislike KFC but I never find myself stopping in to get anything there.

We really need a food section.

I only go for fast food when I have coupons.
Places like to deliver coupons: KFC, Wendy's, Arby's; Mcdanolds, burger king, Quiznos, Captain D (occasionally)

Yeah fuck Arby's.

I like the idea of roast beef with cheese on an onion bun, but their execution leaves much to be desired, and as mentioned, the aftermath can be intense.

The biggest problem of them is there's no green inside their burgers.

Taco Bell continues to stay a step ahead of the fast food and looks to survive the burger wars. They just launched a DOLLAR MENU... of shit that actually costs a dollar.

So far I have had:

Mini Chicken Quesadilla: soft taco sized shell with shredded chicken and cheese/chipotle sauce in it. The sauce is that fast food stuff that is spicy for the sake of being spicy but its a good value

Cheesy bean and Rice Burrito: This was really good. Good sized item for a dollar. It is not the Talley Bean Burrito girth but is definitely a value

Beefy Mini Quesadilla: tastes like a regular soft taco. if you like lettuce, just get the soft taco if it is still a comparable price.

Add your thoughts on the items as well. Some are intriguing

#4 combo (Mexican pizza, two crunchy supreme tacos) but usually can't finish the pizza. Their Mexican pizzas have fallen off. They used to supply the right amounts of ingredients including green onions and now they aren't even close to that.

Their chicken quesadilla is pretty tasty as long as they don't smother too much of that spicy sauce all in it.

^^^ what are the chances... I went today and had 2 items from that menu, and just an hour later you bttt'ed with that?!

i had 2 items (mini quesadilla and beefy frito burrito), and bother were SHIT.

no beans, no vegetables, and tasted pretty bad too, especially whatever sauce they had inside both of them.

will NOT have again.

going to taco bell and not having something with beans... doesn't feel like taco bell at all.

I had the Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito and the Shredded Chicken Mini Quesadilla, both were great. I love the shredded chicken and there was syrprisingly a lot for a buck. The burrito was probably a half pound as well. solid value from a place that has been lacking it lately (1.09 for a crunchy taco wtf)

if i was really hard up and taco bell was the only thing available, i guess i'd eat a bean burrito, as that's probably the least likely to have any cesspool ingredients in it.

Pretty easy to hide cesspool in refried beans though.

So taco bell has a mobile app now and it is awesome.

You can customize anything on their menu, pay for it at home, click a button on the way there to have them start assembling your feast, then just grab it and go.

You can customize it any way you want, also.

Want a soft taco? Sure. Have it your way though. Put black beans, pico, avocado ranch sauce, three cheese blend and steak on that bitch.

If you aren't one of those pussies who whines about a taco giving you dysentery, then this is a big moment.
