i wish i was in the US... i would drive up to a 1,000 miles to have my car fixed by you. no joke.

paid a $2,053 bill a couple of weeks ago at Toyota dealership to have a bunch of stuff replaced, and they are saying they found more stuff that needs to be fixed replaced which would cost another 2-2.5K. (actually, they are saying $4K for all stuff they found, but 2-2.5K for the important ones)

FML

maybe i could post the list of items they gave me and ask if they are/can be essential? but i don't see how this could work seeing as how you can't see my car.

RAV4, btw, 2005, with 130K miles.

Can I get a quote to get the throttle body removed and cleaned, MAF sensor cleaned, and have the hoses checked for vacuum leaks? Trying to get the "zoom zoom" back in my Mazda 3.

Do you know how to replace timing belts on 2002 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6??? I need to get that done desperately, as I think I'm beyond past due, but lack $800 that Honda is gonna charge me. I've yet to find someone confident enough to attempt it, so I need a skilled person. Is this you?

Yep, this is definitely me. I got no problem doing any Honda timing belt, and have done lots of them. And yes, I'll be cheaper than you can find at shops. PM coming...

my 92 Corvette LT1 has some electrical issues that I can't seem to figure out. When turning sharply around curves, the interior lights are coming on, then immediately going out once the car is straightened out.

I'm not sure you work on electrical issues, but I figure I'd throw it out there...

and it's a low-priority job. Both my gf and I have other cars, so it's our sunday driver.

How much would it be to get the brakes changed on all four wheels on a 2007 Saturn Aura? I'm not asking for myself, asking for my g/f who was recently told by a Saturn dealer that her breaks were in 'dire need of being changed for only $500 dollars' . They said whoever did it would need to resurface the disks and to only buy OEM brakes. I would imagine she or we could just buy new pads and disks and have someone with the tools to slap them on for quite less than that. If I'm wrong, then I apologize for my ignorance.

zxappeal and Jeepman replaced my 4Runner timing belt a couple years ago. They do good work and it was definitely worth it for the peace of mind.

This is exactly the type of thing that I would recommend Dan and/or Matt for. The parts are relatively cheap, but it's labor intensive.

Dan has replaced timing belts on two of my vehicles, EGR/O2 sensors on two of my vehicles, and has helped with several sets of brake pads.

I cannot endorse him or his work enough.

If only he accepted payment in handjobs... (actually he might, I just didn't ask)

Thanks, Ronny. I wanna pull the front cover on your car again and make absolute sure that everything lines up to see if we can get to the bottom of that code.

Putting in a plug for zx. He's helped me with my car and with my wife's. We did tonight the right front wheel bearing and tomorrow we've gotta do the left cv shaft.

Great rates, great conversations, but terrible gas.

Folks, it looks like I'm out of commission for a while...I've got a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in my right leg, and I'm not able to do anything serious for a while. This is sucking big time.
