I think 3-4 beers consumed at a normal pace should be enough to get a normal drinker intoxicated.

And the suggestion that alcohol tolerance is tied to "manhood" is absurd. The guys with the high tolerances are the same ones who still manage to drink too much and make asses of themselves. I mean, I've never seen a man drink 3-4 beers and make a tipsy, girly fool of himself...but I've seen enough drink 12+ and turn into giant, pathetic babies.
