I never said Catholics were Biblical illiterates either, I was just saying that it seems like the Catholic church pushes less freedom of interpretation and understanding and more for do as we say and how say it.

I just assumed Jewish Sabbath began and ended on Saturday.

But I don't get it, why does it matter to Christians/Jews/Muslims which religion believes in Nirvana, and which incorporates Shiva and Vishnu?

something about having a broader knowledge of religion in general to re-affirm your own faith. its like some saying that chocolate ice cream is the best flavor with out ever trying any other flavors.
