how do you people finish a book in a week? How long are these books that you're reading?

It usually takes me MANY weeks to finish a book (depending on the book, and the frequency at which I read it).

try Philippa Gregory....

she wrote the Other Boleyn Girl...

she has a shit load of books set in that period and they are all pretty fast reading and entertaining

but Tudor-era England may not be your thing

I'm also on a Sharon Kay Penman kick....her books are long as shit but good reads...

It's obviously no secret that I'm really into historical fiction...

I stumbled across this website today and I think I may use it as a recommendation list in the future...

I thought I'd share it for anyone else who might like that sort of stuff...

5000 novels about historical "stuff" throughout the ages...all over the world...

i wish i could get into historical novels. the closest that i've come is the unbroken book (which you actually might enjoy LP) it's about the B-24 plane that went down in the pacific during WWII and follows their story after they're "rescued" until they're liberated from japanese pow camps.

i think i might have found another author that seems to have a ton of books and the writing style seems to be the kind that i enjoy.

we shall see.

I think the best ones this year so far were Looking for Alaska, Unwind, and World without End (which took FOREVER).

I can't decide if I should count graphic novels or not. I've read lots of those: Fables, Akira, Walking Dead. Many have taken a good amount of time to read.
