I can attest cocker spaniels are evil. My aunt's cocker spaniel went out of its way to bite anything that walked

I've also been bitten by an English Springer Spaniel and some Rottweilers. As a general rule I don't like dogs

I got in a fight with a doberman once.

It wasn't trying to kill me or anything, but it was trying to assert dominance and I wasn't having any of it.

for what it's worth, the "breed" has only been around since the mid 1800's, and even then, it is still more of a mutt line than most other recognized breeds (pitts aren't even recognized as a distinct breed by most kennel clubs)

also, I don't think it is a conspiracy theory. But if you want to over simplify my belief that they get more negative attention in the media than any other breed, then by all means go ahead. I can't stop you're being wrong

I've never been attacked by pits. I've seen some mean ass dalmations, german sheppards, chows, dobermans, but never a pit.

Also, i thought I knew dogs til that one just kept coming after me. not cool.

I miss my pit bull. She was so sweet. I was thinking of finding a pit bull pup to raise with my baby.

My parents dalmations were sweeties to friends and family

Although one hated other dogs and the other was insecure around little kids...got her when my sister and I were in middle/high school

but we also weren't retarded and avoided situations that could end badly, and were good responsible owners

I think he likes to be chased more than doing the chasing... mainly because he outruns other dogs and taunts them is she fast?

sam - my doggy looks similar to yours (in faceshape/ears)

i wonder if she is some sort of pit/lab/hound or pointer or brittany mix?

she has that dopey pit smile for sure.

hard to tell in this pic but that last pic you posted of yours is how she looks normally with her ears. they're either to the side kinda like bat ears (lol) of back unless she is especially perplexed, which she was in this pic lol

but she is also SUPER muscular (like a pit). i'm guessing she has pit in her. who knows really! silly pound puppies!

definitely has some pit, and she looks like some pointer mixes i've seen.

on an unrelated note i was trying to find a good example of a pointer mix and i found these two pics that i just thought were funny:

also a couple cute ones here:
http://solarphotographers.com/blog/2010/01/21/dog-photographer-0121/

(ps, searching for a pic in front of the lady friend was a terrible idea, looks like i may be in the search to adopt now)

yeah, I can see the pit in her head, and in the way she is sitting in the last picture

I would think some type of pit/pointer mix

I decided to Google pit/greyhound mixes one night and found this link: http://dailypetpic.com/2010/09/30/sammy-the-adoptable-terrierpit-bullgreyhound-mix/

(I figured he was pit/greyhound but that link was my validation It's his twin!)

lots of dogs sit like that, i wouldn't worry too much unless she is at high risk because of other breeds that are mixed in

hahaha aw... doesn't she like to look out windows?

Gambit is insanely strong, too.... His jaws are insane. When we play tug-of-war, if I have enough room I can spin him while biting on the toy, eventually having him off the ground

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it for reasons ^ said... Gambit does this weird frog sit (you can see it in the head tilt picture). It looks insanely uncomfortable

we had a zip-line in our backyard when i was a kid and ours would jump up and bite and and we could push him down the zip line. i think he liked it. when he finally died (at 18) his teeth were in pretty rough shape though, so be careful.

I'm not one that dislikes pit bulls due to their aggressiveness.

They're just damn ugly dogs.
