just circle out of the log in promts a few times back and forth and nf just gives up and lets you use it.

I'd be pissed if I wasn't leeching of someone else's account. Still, MAY 31st!!! That's insane. ] 5/9/2011 1:27:30 PM |

I would like to think Anonymous could do similar damage to XBL. Sony just happened to cross the line when they persecuted the hacker who published the root keys for the PS3. 5/9/2011 1:52:41 PM |

Anonymous denying involvement is like bin Laden denying involvement in 9/11. This is just them trying to protect their "image" and probably fear of law enforecement.5/10/2011 11:25:54 PM |

Could they be any more non-committal?
Ever heard of under-promise and over-deliver, Sony? How about you get everyone off your ass by saying it will be back May 31st and then if it pops online next week you look like heroes (well, less of jackasses than you do now).
If it's up a week from now (the 17th) I'll be surprised. 5/10/2011 11:29:08 PM |

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/05/12/report-uk-retailers-say-ps3-trade-ins-doubling-due-to-psn-outag/
Quote : | "We're approaching the one-month anniversary of the PlayStation Network's deactivation due to that pesky security breach, and according to a report from Edge the downtime's starting to have an effect at UK games retailers. The report cites a number of anonymous game shop clerks, all of whom paint a fairly similar picture of the response to the outage: PlayStation 3 trade-ins have doubled in their respective stores in the past few weeks, with most shoppers exchanging their consoles for Xbox 360s or cash.
That may sound like a fairly inflammatory report, but the reasoning is sound: Almost all the retailers say these shoppers are hardcore FPS players, and are acquiring Xbox 360s to get back in their Call of Duty: Black Ops and Modern Warfare 2 routines. Furthermore, all of the retailers report an increased trade-in rate for the PS3 version of Black Ops. Trading in your gaming console sounds like a pretty drastic way to keep playing a game you love -- then again, we're no strangers to the siren call of the Killstreak. " |
