I'm almost positive she'll get sentenced to time served.

Plus I was almost positive that she'd be found not guilty to the murder charges as well.


There was no concrete evidence.

Each count can be up to 1 year. The judge can choose to sentence them consecutively (which would mean she gets out in a little more than a year), or concurrently, which means, she walks on Thursday.

i agree with the verdict

unfortunately, nothing the prosecuted presented would convince me that she murdered her child or that she had ever at any moment abused her child

it very well could have happened, but the state didnt really do a great job with this one. The defense i think did a real good job just standing back and shooting shit down. Being a degenerate human being is not enough to warrant a conviction on charges of murder or child abuse when theres no proof. I dont even think the circumstantial stuff cut muster.

it sucks because i think she did something to kill that child in the heat of the moment, but this actually restores my faith in the justice system that with the nation's eyes on these jurors they went in there and came to the conclusion (the correct conclusion) that based on what the state presented, there was reasonable doubt. Hell in my personal opinion, there was considerable reasonable doubt left on the table by the end of the trial.

you can talk about the value of the justice system all you want, but this case and the verdict reflects the spirit of the law as it is written regarding criminal cases in my opinion. Same with OJ, if somehow the juror found doubt in the case, must acquit.

i dont recall all the charges but i figured there was no chance of them sticking her with child abuse once they failed at proving kaylee was alive before either she was put in the bags or before tape was placed over her mouth
