I had listened to the show for years and stopped a short time after Kristen and Jon left. The show just seemed to decay and turn absolutely stupid and it seemed like Mike was the only sensibility left.

I have been listening to podcasts instead of the show and I like that arrangement much better. I really hope the ratings for the show finally fall off.

I turned it on halfway through the tantrum.

It seemed obviously fake to me but maybe I'm wrong. If it was real I think there would have been some swearing from Bob as mad as he was supposed to be. Also everyone else on the show was giving play by play commentary. Things like "No, not the printer Bob" "Bob you can't just throw the mic down, it's expensive"

I feel like their natural reactions wouldn't be like that.

Every few years Bob has an on-air tantrum when the ratings get low and they aren't the water cooler conversation anymore. Everyone talks about what a hateful douche he is then goes back to their desks and tune in and listens to the aftermath of the recent drama.

It takes months or years before they remember the radio has a dial and they think "why the fuck am I listening to this shit?" and they tune it to something less craptastic.

By then a handful of their employees will have quit, and a new batch of trashy people will fill the void, then its time for another PR stunt and Bob will say something awful about a group of people large enough to make a significant outcry, but not large enough to have any real impact on the station.

I don't usually listen except in the summer because my job basically has me driving around all morning... they set this up earlier in the week. Bob was complaining about the equipment and the girls were all like "omg this is when he is really scary... when he isn't just yelling about something."

(bob's ass is on a beach vacation and they thought this would make better ratings is my guess)
