I like the whole "Give me a win? Give me a break!" part. My qualm with Obama has been that he tries too hard to please everyone even some whiny brat republicans and not fighting for what he believes as of late. Obama is my president and I will be voting for him again.

I love how he said he was concerned about American's jobs, not his...while standing in North Carolina, and having only spoke in other swing states this past week. 9/14/2011 1:57:01 PM

I just had to note the irony in having this thread next to one titled "every mans (sic) worst nightmare".

the line started at tucker beach, wrapped snaked down and up around whatever that other dorm is, then down and back around Alexander, then all the way down past the old bookstore into Reynolds. Took at least 2 hours to get in for us.
Checkpoints were more lax than airport security, which was really surprising. They wouldn't let you take in beverages (obviously) but they didn't have any for sale inside either.
Reynolds had to be at least 90 degrees and nobody had water. I saw a few EMS vehicles leaving after the speech, probably because of dehydration. It was pretty funny when Obama said something about "we need buildings with air conditioning for our children because I don't want them to have to study in those kinds of conditions" and everyone laughed because we were dying of heat.
Overall, the speech was a repackaged, localized version of the one he delivered to Congress. Took 5-6 hours of standing in hot lines. Meh. 9/14/2011 2:15:25 PM

haha I'll admit at first I didn't know what TOB was, but I used my middle school critical thinking skillz to figure it out. 9/14/2011 2:15:38 PM

What would it mean for him to fight for what he believes in?
He believes in endless war. He believes in corporate welfare. He believes in empowering the health insurance companies. He believes in continuing the war on drugs. He believes in maintaining the status quo at all costs.
Nothing about Obama's presidency has reflected "change." It has been more of the same.
The problem is not just that Obama believes in a failed ideology. He has also failed as a leader. He has never run anything in his life. He's been an academic and a politician. He doesn't know how business works. He may be suave, but he isn't persuasive. He talks a good game, but he isn't courageous. He is, apparently, unable to level with the people and tell us the bad news: the good ole days are over. There is no recovery coming anytime soon. 9/14/2011 5:09:30 PM

I do think all his rhetoric would be truth if he did not accept the bullying from Congress. He does need to be more courageous. I still will vote for him because he gives me more hope than any of those conservative bigots that are trying to run on the republican side.
not important but I will gladly vote for a republican that I believe in but I will NEVER vote for a conservative or tea party shithole. 9/14/2011 5:20:56 PM

A true conservative would be less inclined to pass laws that restrict individual freedom (less government is good) 9/14/2011 5:52:24 PM
