I think the RBC Center and Carter finley must have been built on an indian burial ground. And theyre still pissed. They let us taste victory in 06 with the cup, but never again will they let us have anything.

No, that's Paul Maurice keeping us from anything.

Seriously, in any other organization this guy would be fired after the debacle of last season. When has Paul Maurice been anything other than mediocre in the coaching department?

And seriously, how long before there is some accountability here? The constant in all of the 'Canes sucky years has been Paul friggin Maurice.

Want to see what Anthony Stewart can do? Want to get Dalpe playing first-line minutes instead of Chad "I'm a fan favorite so play me every chance you get" LaRose?

I swear. When I'm back from Europe in December for a week and I will get to see one single game in two years... there better be someone else behind that bench.

I know he's young and inexperienced at the NHL level, but Justin Faulk hasn't proven himself much thus far, at least in my eyes. Seems like he's been taking a lot of bad penalties and looked lost several times out there. He alone is far from the problem, but I wish we'd scratch him in favor of Joslin or McBain.

I expect that Justin Faulk is going to be a damn fine NHL defenseman one day, but his first 3 games have been nothing short of a disaster.

He hasn't gotten worked too bad on a one-on-one level, but the penalties he's taking are unacceptable. Kaberle ain't been a stunner, either.

Much rather see McBain and Joslin than Faulk and Kaberle.

Gleason: +3, 0 PIM
Allen: +1, 4 PIM
Pitkanen: -1, 4 PIM
Harrison: -2, 0 PIM
Kaberle: -3, 0 PIM
Faulk: -6, 10 PIM

Holy shi-ot, for two reasons: the first is Faulk's dumb numbers, but the second is that TIMMAY is +3 on a winless team. I love that man so much.

It only took the first game of the season for me to say that Faulk needed to go to the AHL. He has shown some flashes here and there, but it's not quite there yet. No reason to have him playing over Joslin or McBain.

Faulk needs to be paired with allen, not kaberle.

Skinner - Staal - Stewart
Jokinen - Sutter - Ruutu
Poni - Dalpe - Dwyer
Tlusty - Brent - Larose

Pitkanen - Gleason
Allen - Faulk
Kaberle - Harrison

Stewart adds the physical element to Staal's line, Sutter becomes more offensive minded with Finns on each side, Dalpe gets the much needed time to learn defense on a checking line, 4th line is energy line and finally Kaberle and Faulk get responsible Dmen on their side.

Mo's regular season strategy

1) Open the regular season by digging as large a hole as humanly possible
2) Get your shit together somewhere around the All-Star break
3) Rattle off a bunch of wins
and
4) Hope to get into the playoffs by 1pt
5) Profit?

That interview with Pierre at the end was BS. Here Cam is after playing well and getting his first win, and the first question he was asked was how Seguin sniped him from a bad angle. Of course he handled it with class though.

So the broadcasting team was saying Maurice was arguing for the refs to award a goal when Staal got taken down by Bergeron on the empty net opportunity... is that even possible for them to do (and if it is, has it ever really happened before)? I've never heard of that.

So we win the only game Skinner and Staal are held scoreless? I'll take it but probably won't happen too often.

I concur about Marchand.... I bet he fist pumps. Himself.

Great win tonight. Notes of rage, though.... WHY THE FUCK WAS LAROSE ON THE FIRST LINE??

I thought Kaberle and Harrison looked stiff at times, but overall good games.

Stewart probably added 18000 twitter followers tonight

so, were any of you on the bus back with me from the game (downtown) and heard homeboy talk about how russell wilson was only a 'servicable' quarterback, and other silly things? The Citadel and NC State former student who was such a big Carolina fan?

I feel like it must have been one of you yelling at him with me, it was just too good.

My favorite moment last night outside of the game itself was their deciding to show Tyler Hansborough and Bobby Frasor on the big screen, because of the absolute chorus of boos that followed. It was wonderful.

Tlusty looked really good most of the night, wtf.
